That's how they do in Korea when an artist gets involved in a scandal/issue. For them it's disrespectful if he still appear in a show. They are very sensitive. The show will get complaints if they didnt cut his parts. It's like a preventive measure to avoid problems with viewers.

As others pointed out, this is normal behavior of Korean television. Thus cuting him is expected, no matter if he is innocent or guilty. Be it by disapproving viewers or those behind the scenes, there is less choice in the matter. Even to the people behind the show with limited power to fight this, it's not that easy and it's their job/livelihood they would be risking for one guy here in something they aren't personally involved in. Even if fans want to see him or people working on the show agree that going this far is generally ridiculous or personally hurtful towards him/ikonics, to the people that decide there is no point of taking damage and backlash if it's possible not to. Especially if it's as easy as editing a few clips that wouldn't last long. Not to say his face and expressions aren't worth seeing, its just that there is too much at stake to fight it and there are too many people involved to be lenient. The audience, the producers, those who make the call, and several others we probably don't even know to involve. All without proof of sentencing, hence the actual sensitivity of the situation.

Team USA really owned the stage everytime, I know that all the dance cover teams are great on their own but Team USA really has something in them that makes you enjoy by just watching them dance.
