Looks like a fantastic cloud street ahead Oliver, did you manage to get up there?

Managed to get up there and fly for some time on the task, before the weather got difficult and i ended up making an outlanding.

@@oliverkirial that's not nice but it is good for your overall experience. More days of competition flying to follow, I am sure.Greetings from the Netherlands.

Why don't you make a right turn up after the release? This is a standard procedure for us in Germany.

Normaly the glider turns to the left in Denmark. This was a special competition rule. "Fly straight ahead, and the tow plane will fly towards to airfield".

Interesting! We in the US also turn right after the release. I also noticed that you had the air brakes up for about half of the ground roll we, of course, in the US keep them closed during the launch.

@@jhmcglynn My LS1-f does not have a nose hook, so i use my CG hook for aerotows. This can sometimes give some problems when the rope is tightened in the first part of the aerotow. The wheelbreak on the ls1-f is in the airbrake so i have them open to put pressure on the break, so im sure i dont run over the rope in the start. If that happens the hook will let go of the rope. The day before i dident use the airbrake and this happened.
But this is not a problem with gliders with nose hook.
