It starts with a classic look. Google the original Africa Twin and you'll see how Honda was able to bring this "great classic style" using a modern design. 2019 Honda Africa Twin screams adventure. Loved your review! I have a 2019 as well, bought it new in May 2020, almost a year old now. Got 14k miles, and on second set of 50/50 tires, Dunlop TrailmaxMission, with 6800 on them and still going strong.

I bought a 2019 atas. It’s spent more of its life in the shop with an engine knock. Rickety on the highway. I’m trying desperately to get rid of it. Worst and most expensive bike I’ve owned. Bought brand new. 3200 miles and broke down 3 times now. Regret buying it. Unstable platform.

Wow. Our press unit runs like new. We managed to drop it, ride it hard at the canyons, over 1k miles in a few weeks and it was a blast. Love the bike and style. We do believe someone could mess up the maintenance because it's rare for Honda to show issues at 3200 miles.

    Nice review mate!
    What helmet do you use?
    Thanks.

Thanks. Icon Airframe Pro Flashbang Carbon. Recently got into the accident. Dump truck went across the double yellow straight on me and I had no options besides hitting a mountain wall to avoid front-end collision. The helmet didn't crack even after taking most of the impact. After that, I'm thankful for that day when I paid over $600 for this helmet.
P.S. Guys, get a high-quality gear first, and afterwards you can start shopping for your new bike.

Did you disable the abs or change mode to dirt before the crash ?

The front tire got slipped so I don't think it was connected to the electronics and to be honest I was not adding enough throttle because it was downhill and offroad. Yes, it was running dirt mode and abs was on and you can not turn it off completly (only for the rear). Afterwards, only two pieces of plastic got marks and we think this was "full dual-sport experience."

And no tubeless tyres ... and no center stand ... No cruise control ...

Fernando K you have plenty of other bikes to choose if the things you have mentioned are important for your riding. You can get central stand as option, as far as I know in majority of bikes it is not stock option. I guess the message from Honda regarding this model is that they wanted to keep it simple for demanding adventure off-road riding which doesn’t need cruise control and tube less tires.
