    Honestly I've never found a TH-cam series so tailor made for my autistic interests, thank you!

    I'm really glad I found this channel. You're reminding of all the little details that made me fall in love with this game back in BC, to the point I'm finding myself tempted to re-download the game just to poke around all the old nooks and crannies again!

      Haha, thank you! :) Glad I could rekindle some of that old school WoW vibe!

    Video description is talking about the Thousand Needles from the last video.

      Fixed now, thank you for pointing that out! I must've made a mistake when I used my description template. :)

    Central Platau in New Zealand are very similar to Alterac as well. Particularly the triple peaks.

    I'm really enjoying these geology theories in WoW. My daughter and I like to consider ourself Rockhoumds and we are having fun seeing WoW from this "scientific" pov.

      That is so fun to hear! Makes me happy to learn my GEO 1100 -level theories are paying off here, haha!

    It's interesting, the Alterac/Hinterlands mountains are tall and glacier capped in the Knaak Manga.

      Nice! Helps out my theory a little bit I suppose XD

      @@Jediwarlock It's also whrte the first Highmountain tauren ever shows up, but he has normal horns, not the antlers/pseudo antlers of Legion. And there's no indication he's from near the tomb of sargy. But it does inply he's always been closer to thr eastern kingdoms tham Kalimdor

    This is my favorite classic zone. And Grizzly Hills for WOTLK. Guess I'm just a pine tree and mountains kinda guy!

    This is an outstanding series! I love how thoroughly you researched both the WoW Lore and real life applications of geology.

    Once non geography evidence is entered in, Alterac would be the swiss alps.

      Thank you very much! That means a lot! :) I made these videos after introductory geology and after taking another class or two on it I'm hoping Season 2 of this series will be even more "accurate" XD

      @@Jediwarlock very cool! Did you see there was an article a few years back covering geology of westeros? That was awsome, ive thought about something similar for azeroth. The problem the way i see it is the level off detail in wow, its just not so good 😄. And of course the magic that affekts eferythibg! However, in my opinion i think a regional owerview of a bigger area would be a more «accurate» and perhaps a good base:)

    6:40 Is this from the area between Dun Morogh and Stormwind City?

    • @Jediwarlock
      @Jediwarlock  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      From my memory this is an area inside the Alterac Valley map file itself, not the open world map :)
