    You had great weather for it I'm doing this next week but bet I won't have rhe same weather. I'm getting the train from Devon so don't arrive until 1752 at Arrochar and Tarbert train station so not sure if I will make it past the tree line before dark. How long did it take you to get through the tree line and also how long did it take to get to the cobbler which I think your really brave getting to the top I'm on my own so not sure if I will do that😁👍

      Thanks 👍 From memory i had a half day off from work and i think i left they car park at around 2-30pm-ish. From there up the zig-zag path and @1:20 on the film say 3-45pm bear in mind im filming and waiting for people to pass etc. So roughly i would say i got to the summit at 5pm-5-30pm. Regarding your time i would say if you get to Arrochar train station at 5-52pm you are cutting it a wee bit fine lightwise as its a 45 min walk from the station to the main car park for this walk. I would say heading up you should be ok but it will be dark on the way back down something to bear in mind. From my point of view to stay safe and really enjoy it its a wee bit too late but its all on you ma man. Come what may have a good one and stay safe, Thanks for the comment, peter :))))

    Just love your channel, Peter, I started late to Munro bagging but don't really have the confidence to tackle the ridges, this Needle thread etc. I am 59 and quite happy with my modest collection of 20 Munros but keep up the good work!
    My favourite view was emerging into the Corrie Fee on the Mayar/Driesh doubler. But wonder what your favourite view is? Is there a mountain you love to return to?
    Cheers - keep going 👍🏻

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sean cheers mate! 20 Munros is not modest each one is different and has to be climbed carefully up and down and it is 20 more bagged than most so a thumbs up from me Sean :) Aye Corrie Fee and that surrounding area(Angus Glens) is a beautiful vast open wild place for Munro Bagging. My favourite view? So far i would say from the summit of Sgorr Dhearg the first Munro on Beinn a' Bheithir looking over Loch Leven Glen Coe etc and from the summit of Cairn Toul up in the high Cairngorms but bear in mind i still have a lot to climb and see but they two will always be there. I always return to Ben Lomond as it was my first Munro and its only about 1hour drive from Glasgow. Thanks Sean and take care mate, peter.

    Great hike Peter, its one we took the kids up when they were a bit younger, they would only go up a mountain if they could scramble over rocks so we chose the cobbler lol! You got some good weather too and a great scramble to the top, scary stuff Peter not for me that lol! :) Tim

    We have a one night stop at the Arrochar Hotel on our way up to our Cottage in August. Our plan is to to The Cobbler in the afternoon/evening. 😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏔

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be a very doable walk even in the afternoon in fact im sure this was a friday afternoon straight from work for me. Just one to watch out for, The car parks for years were £1 all day now the idiots in charge have changed it to a max of £9 a day depending as how long you expect to be hillwalking for which is a total ridiculous question to ask anyone going to the hills. Lots were/are still peed off with this. If possible leave the car at the hotel and just walk round and keep the £'s in the pocket ;)

    I just done this today, though I think I took a different path to you, I ended up in quite a steep scramble ( on wet rock 🙈) I wasn't fortunate enough to get views like that, was a white out 😩 looks great on a nice day 👍

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you did take a different route up, I took the easier path round the back. I havent been back there for ages sadly. Was there any snow up there?

    • @j9rvn

      WakeyGeorge BusPassCamper. George i went straight from work on a friday night(cant mind why) and i had only one t shirt with me so i had to keep it for going home. So as i had nothing on underneath my hoodie, And with my bag pressing against my back it ended up soaking wet LOL! Weather wise 2012 was not bad, I mind we had 6-7 weeks of constant rain around may-june i think. Midges are everywhere up here George, I even had them at 1126mt up Ben Cruachan! No escape!!!LOL! Thanks for watching George, peter.

    Aye its a pain as Glenn say's. I have had a couple of warnings the most threatening was for The Irish Rover by The Dubliners haha. I now use music from computer games which seems a way around the problem. So my next vid I will be bouncing on mushrooms and chucking turtles at people as I stroll along to the Mario Kart theme lol. Anyway it might be a pain but it gives us the chance to watch this cracking video redone Peter, that is some scramble bud and against that lovely sky made for great viewing. Great stuff. Atb. Mick.

    Well done! Heading up there this week with my grandson. First time for both of us and this video was very helpful. Many thanks for posting. I won't be doing the needle! How long did it take you up and down? We are getting public transport from Glasgow so it would be handy to know! Cheers Joe

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Joe. I assume you are taking the train to Arrochar? If so it`s about 40-60min walk to the car park where the zig zag path starts, Then i would give it roughly 2hrs 30min to the summit of The Cobbler. Take care, peter.

      Pathfinder; Fergus Films Cheers Sinclair, Aye gie it a bash if ye can mate. I used to have a wee bit of a BBC music score in my earlier vids, And some people on YT told me it can take up to 3 or 4 years for a claim to me made against you. One of the guys im subbed to (Jim Ramsay) Had one last week and his time is now down to 15 min for 6 months. So im just sorting it the now before the inevitable happens. Better to be safe than sorry! Thanks Sinclair im on holiday in Poland at the moment, heading up to the baltic sea in a couple of hours time. Thanks mate, peter.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS

      To me it looks like some types of Moss growth and Lichens too maybe, But to be honest im not very well learned on that subject.
