I love that the salmonids here weren’t mindless monsters trying to kill some inklings or octolings, they were like living breathing creatures with understanding, and I’m also glad splatoon 3 atleast somewhat did that.
Even as someone who plays Salmon Run on a regular basis, I felt pretty bad for her. That male Inkling didn't even need to splat those Smallfry. If they weren't attacking, he could've just ignored them and focused on the bosses. Not to mention, they just left her stranded there... Thank gosh, she had that Smallfry backing her up.
Funny enough I hate the small fry almost as much as Stingers and Big Shots. Lil Buddy is an exception, since lost Salmonids start acting different when away from the school. Even though this is a fan story, you'd think future agent 3 would have read up on what Salmon Run is lol. In the comic she is known as Braids and meets Goggles

If he didn’t go home I wonder where he went maybe he’s secretly working for Mr. Grizz because think about it how would Mr. Grizz get weapons, or he’s using Sheldon as a source of weapons so he hires these inklings to work for him so he can maybe come up with a plan. There will be no DJ Octavio, no octarians, no Captain Cuttlefish and no squidbeak splatoon. Why ? Because in Splatoon 3 the playable inklings are in a completely new town. There's no great zapfish, so the octarians will stay at home, and when there's a new villain it will be another local superhero team that will take care of them. So she isn't agent 7, agent 9, or whatever, she is ... Who ? Maybe the war between inklings and salmons has ended, or maybe the little guy is just a traitor. He could be a friend of another specie, but he could also be a war prisoner for all we know
