It's not worth it.... I only went once inside to see the waiting room area cause I was curious, and it has a very sad energy. Most people go there for a quick F*** and feel dead inside... You will never find love in this place .. I had friends that used to go there and they agreed
This is the kind of stuff that makes me embarrassed to be a gay man. These are horrible examples and stereotypes of the community. Also, the first ones who cry about getting STD's. Sorry your self-esteem is so low but you don't need to be absolute trash about it.
In Hollywood they used to have a sauna for heterosexuals where the same permissive sex went on. Realistically, in 2023 people check out who is compatible rather than find out after making vows. I could easily imagine meeting a mate that way with a long marriage following. I have been with my husband for 45 years, married for 10 years. We met at an opera. Whatever works.
I thought people went to sauna to actually have some kind of health treatment by being inside a hot steamed room, never thought gay people went to saunas to have sex.
Look, I'm not anti-monogamy, but I've seen one too many times people limit who they are to appease their [uptight] partners or flat out cheat on them behind their backs. While I do [sort of] feel for Terry, I love that Narville is willing to live life to the fullest! He is even willing to go out at his happy place, and that is inspirational!
I loved this documentary, however, I do feel for Terry as well as many of you do. As a newly wed gay man in my early 30s, I wouldn’t want my life to be like that with my husband in the future. I feel like Terry deserves better. Also, on the sidenote, why do all documentaries filmed in the UK make it seem so gray and sad? I don’t know but it kinda makes me feel like people there live stuck in the 70s 😅
Not everyone’s cup of tea. For me, it been part of my gay life experience since I joined the woofta ranks back in 1993. It’s always been fun. Traveled the world , seen many saunas . All sorts of people attend these places. It’s a bit of fun. And you get some health benefits
I can assure anyone who thinks that working in a Gay Sauna is glamorous that it is far from it. Think of what people may do to a hotel room and you get the same ideas people get when using a gay sauna. Used toys, condoms, beating super careful with the cloakroom and bathrooms (the sauna I worked at had a major issue with drug use, both inhaling via snorting and injection-based usage including used needles and syringes). I even had to clean up after someone had changed their ostomy bag, still full of poo. We had a regular customer who became notorious for using the same room as a toilet for solid matter, with a neat pile in the middle of the room. He was later banned from using the facility, as this became a health hazard. I think it was a fetish that he had, somehow!! the good, the bad, the indifferent, the sublime and the downright ridiculous. I got it all!!!
i too work in a bath house.....on my shift, which was overnight, we had a bi man OD on ketamine...he was a truck driver that was married and had kids.....that was it for me after 3 years i quit....
Same here. And if people choose to, there has never been issue. Idk why some dudes feel the need to overshare and make public every detail of their private affairs and then are the first to complain about “oppression” when not everyone views us positively.
I encourage guys to just go if they’re debating it and if they’ve never been before. Some places are actually really relaxing and clean for the most part. It’s really easy to say no to someone that wants you, you can go at your own pace.

I'm a 68 y.o. gay man. I've never been in a gay bathhouse and never will.
Your loss mr! 🤣
You are 68, we hope certainly not.
🏆Here's your trophy. Now onto other business...
Good for you. I went once and within a few minutes of entering the place I knew I’d made a mistake.
Thank you so much for this documentary!🙏🙏🙏 Wish all people find their true selves and true love!❤❤❤❤❤
As trans bi man I'm really obsessed with idea of visiting bath house one day, before settle in relationship. Hope gay saunas will be more friendly.
No, despite being “inclusive “ it is all about the masculine ideal of a man
It's for homosexual males, not females identifying as men and fetishizing gay men.
Gay saunas are exclusively for homosexual males.
You are so right there too.
You are so right there too
.
Oh shut up and grow a pair! Be your own man (or whatever). What someone else does in your community is not a reflection of you!
The black impersonation😂😂😂
In Hollywood they used to have a sauna for heterosexuals where the same permissive sex went on. Realistically, in 2023 people check out who is compatible rather than find out after making vows. I could easily imagine meeting a mate that way with a long marriage following. I have been with my husband for 45 years, married for 10 years. We met at an opera. Whatever works.
Although both men, the plumber and politician seem like lovely ppl, that garden scene was so cringe
I thought people went to sauna to actually have some kind of health treatment by being inside a hot steamed room, never thought gay people went to saunas to have sex.
Surprise
Can't believe people write comments like this ON THE INTERNET 😂
An you think men go to Home depot just for the tools?
@@chordorchard7213 Exactly!
James is a cutie, they knew what they were doing when they hired him, he's truly young eye candy ☺
In the US, we call em bath houses.
Poor Terry, Norville is an addict and Terry is so in love with him. I can't do this, I will break up with Norville but try to be friends.
So true ….
It’s horrible being with someone like Norville.
@@xander_k_ Rather, it is horrible being in love with someone like Norville...
@@lynette599 definitely
Norville is definitely a hootchie daddy.
Very well done doc…I don’t agree with the behavior. But I admire the upfront honestly and willingness to tell their story
this is an incredibly fascinating documentary.
So true
This is old
Nottingham is grey and sad, most of the year.
The UK is sad and gross lol
@@damonmelendez856 Move to another country. 🚮🚮
James the attendant looks like a Bruce Weber model - amazing
What a horrible job that cleaner has.Disgusting.
Did you ever use a McDonald's (or any fast food restaurant) toilet? - far, FAAAAR worse
This is a wonderful documentary. It's honest, intriguing and compelling.
My heart goes for Terry ❤
They are totally in different lifestyles
and how is it that a Woman is narrating?????
She breaks up the "monotony" of the men speaking. Makes it more appealing
I know, that perturbs me a bit too.
That's exactly what I was wondering. Why tf is a woman narrating gay men's stuff?
@@heatherjamison8464I don't find it appealing at all.
Why not?
Where is this place? I want the address, times and how much is the entrance fee?❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gay male here and partnered for 35 years. We have never been to one of these places.
Not everyone’s cup of tea.
For me, it been part of my gay life experience since I joined the woofta ranks back in 1993.
It’s always been fun. Traveled the world , seen many saunas .
All sorts of people attend these places.
It’s a bit of fun. And you get some health benefits
It was safe before..not anymore..or maybe never has been safe..
@@monk3yboy69 Sounds nasty to me and not clean and not safe.
This is disgusting.
Same here. We've been
together 43 years, married for 7. I can't imagine it.
Warmer and safer than the public toilets. Go for it
That is the public toilet!
TMI
I (gratefully) can only imagine..good on you for your attitude and that you clearly were educated. All the best.
i too work in a bath house.....on my shift, which was overnight, we had a bi man OD on ketamine...he was a truck driver that was married and had kids.....that was it for me after 3 years i quit....
Gay male here that doesn’t participate in this type of activity!
I'm gay, I'm not into this neither, I always thought, those kind of place's was for old gay men.
I'm 47 although I appear to be 35, apparently.
Same here. And if people choose to, there has never been issue. Idk why some dudes feel the need to overshare and make public every detail of their private affairs and then are the first to complain about “oppression” when not everyone views us positively.
Marry me. ❤
I met my husband in one of those. Of course we weren't married at the time because we just met, but one thing led to another and that was it.
Very touching the marriage cerimony ....congratulations...big boys!!!
Wow can't believe Narville is almost 70 ..he looks great 😃..Terry seems sweet .
Terry should had stayed with his wife, he's reaping his karma for being mean to his wife. He probably deserves it.
@@ariamason9324wasn't terry gay
I encourage guys to just go if they’re debating it and if they’ve never been before. Some places are actually really relaxing and clean for the most part. It’s really easy to say no to someone that wants you, you can go at your own pace.
I don't really like the female narrator.
sounds like kate bush
I am a 56 year old gay man that grew up in the days when AIDS was a death sentence. This video made me throw up in my mouth. The fact that some guys find this video cute is disturbing and gross.
I am 50 and did same....and I have no problem with this video, as long as people are safe or on PReP.
Frot
You are so right there too.
🙄 Yet you clicked on the video knowing full well what the subject was about. So it's a testament to your "superior" intelligence!
