  • Description
After the unprecedented flooding in the Yellowstone National Park and surrounding communities, we weren't sure we'd have an easy way to travel from the Grand Teton's to Red Lodge, MT. Red Lodge is a small town and gateway to the North East entrance of the park which is now washed out. The town suffered a large amount of damage. That didn't sway us from getting back to Red Lodge, Steve's hometown. Much of our summer plans had to be changed, but we're flexible and we were not dissuaded from going to Red Lodge where we spend summer time backpacking, hiking and seeing friends.
Although the friends were there none of the hiking or backpacking was available so we set out on a Jeep journey through the Mt. Maurice area which was burned just a year ago.
Join our journey as we show you 1 week after the flood in Red Lodge and 1 year after the fire on the Meeteetse Trail.

We are retired non-30 somethings who enjoy living part of the year in our Flatbed Truck Camper that, Steve designed and built. It's our adventure rig, budget earthroamer and tiny house on wheels. This is our vlog.
Hope to see you out on the road, exploring in your own way and rig.

Been in Red Lodge twice during my ramblin’ trips. Neat little town. Sorry to hear about all the flood damage. Second time I was there I took the Beartooth Highway towards Yellowstone. Super scenic! Safe travels

Thank you! It was one thing to watch videos when it was happening and then walk thru the aftermath a week later.

Thank you for joining us. I've found tunetank.com to be a good fit for us and we get decent tunes for free. They also have a paid license that's a better fit once a channel can pay for the fees. See you from the road 😊

I know how that goes with uneven brake pad wear. I think 2 years isn’t terrible considering the total weight when hauling and towing

The (even) wear on the other side was about 40% remaining. I think it was good considering I'm carrying 13,300 lbs (wet) on a truck with an original GVW of 9,900 lbs and I'm towing a 3,200lb Jeep most of the time (20,000 GCWR). I have a tow brake for the Jeep that I rarely use (steep downgrades only) so my brakes are always getting a workout. Rusty brake guide pins are just part of life on an old truck (2004) that I'm very willing to live with.
