Great timing on this! I’m playing a local OP tournament this weekend with and I’m trying to work out the best way to deal with the first few turns against Sabine. It’s tricky to manage because crafty smuggler can get punished by unit Sabine pretty hard too.
Went 3-1. I didn’t run into any Sabine or aggro decks. I lost to a Luke ECL that got turn 1 shielded dispatchers both games. I couldn’t quite finish him off before he stabilized and started restoring like crazy.
The videos are great. It would be nice if you said out loud what you were playing or the names of cards you are using. On small screens or for new players it can be hard to track the action.
good games overall! one thing (i missed this the first few times playing too), in game 1 leader sabine dies, then goes back to leader spot, she can't activate her ability because she returns exhausted. not that it woulda made a difference tho. sabaine command is nuts
Thanks for the comment, but I did not actually use her ability. I re-watched the clip and I tapped her to denote she was exhausted but no damage was added to bases.
Really like watching y’all play but it’d be great if you could announce plays more frequently. Its hard to tell what your doing when you just point and you both do something.

I mean he says How do I deal with it when He bounces it and gets the 2 for 1. Mono Yellow has plenty ways of dealing with that play pattern sabine Mulled. Also has Cunning and waylay in hand.
Game one, It was effectively the same play pattern, with a-wing replacing x-wing and the same problem of a turn two Waylay. I understand the thought process behind the mull, but ultimately what are you hoping for instead? I think what I might have tried as the Boba player is to pass at the start of turn two, to at least feign having Waylay
@@owlxoggest6247 Yea very true, Im not sure, I have no experiance Piloting on sabine, But maybe hoping to T1 Marine into T2 Red wing or something along those lines. Basically any line that doesnt get 2 for 1 with waylay.
I'm not trying to be rude but I think the boba player misplayed a lot. He shouldn't have mulled the first game. viper probe droid is one of the better first turn plays against sabine because the sabine unit cant clear it and survive like it can against greedo, crafty smugler etc. Waylay turn 2 would have been fine and there is so much to top deck for the 3 and 4 resource turns anyway. On the 4 resource turn cunning should have just sent that a wing back to hand and +4 the 7th fleet. You can just race sabine and win at that point, not even sabine can out perform 7 dmg to base that fast. After he attacked into base with the pathfinder, what you had on board and the firespray in hand was enough dmg to win that turn. You just had to realise the only way he could stop you was ecl so you attack with the at-rt first and he has to ecl a space ship instead of k-2so. Then, you clear his units with firespray and leader and win next turn. On the 2nd game I have no idea why probe droid didnt trade with that fleet lieutenant and I think you could clear leader with gunship instead.
The Boba plays were painful to watch. This doesn't make for a great gameplay video, but would be a nice self-review afterwards looking at what could have been done differently. Newer players would benefit from hearing about different lines of play, and how to approach the aggro matchup.
@@dbussert As one of those newer players, I have to agree with you. The lack of discussion of various lines makes it look and feel like the Boba deck doesn't have much of a chance.....it just got rolled here. But, it sounds like that shouldn't be the takeaway at all, which means there was a real missed opportunity.
I watch KTOD religiously...

Nice work with card edits on the left side guys.

Great gameplay video! Kind, supportive, and fun gameplay!
Thanks for the visit

Good luck! let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the feedback, it was our first recording session so we're aiming for more chatter next round!
Everything is good, matchup cool and so one, but with inears this Card shuffeling is Göttingen me crazy 😂
We will fix the sound in the future. This was from an older session where the shuffling was a bit loud sorry!

Boba taking out sabine doesn’t trigger his ability since leaders don’t leave play. It’s a weird rule.
Just a sound thing probably try not to shuffle / fidget as you play I see this a lot it seems but with the hot mics people use it is very distracting.
Thanks 😊
Agree with the shuffle being distracting. Rest of the vid is great!

Thanks for the feedback. We will work on that.
Killer vid. I sorta liked the ASMR quality of all the shuffling 😂
For the children!
What sleeves do you guys use? I like these two colors a lot.
I believe both of us are using Dragonshields. I know the Boba is for sure.
How does boba cunning feel ? I kinda fancy trying over boba green atm but unsure
Usually it's favored into Sabine but I had a couple rough games. Also a dog to green boba
You should play 3 games nonetheless to avoid spoiling after first game if there's only 2 :P
Good point. It was a long recording session and I think we just forgot but point taken. Thanks for the feedback!
Try red yellow Andor with three falcon
It’s sick
got a decklist i can check out?

I think it was a good mull. Boba weak to space but Sabine gets blown out if that play patter is punished with waylay
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. I think it was a mulligan I’d do ever time but I felt it was good to highlight.

game one classic Sabine if they cant remove the awing they are dead
The constant cards shuffling sounds are a little much. But otherwise good video
We'll be working on it, it was our first record and we learned a lot. Thanks for watching!
Mike doesnt do the riffle shuffle. That means he must have 3 boba in the deck
Funny enough he’s using Matty’s Bobas here.
Probably didn't wanna riffle Matty's cards
