salmon suc a mile is larger than a kilometer. A kilometer is 1000 meters, if you’re implying you’re American, you should’ve learned that in school. And the military uses nothing but the metric system is accordance to distance. The U.S. can’t make a sudden change to the metric system as it would be unrealistic and very expensive. I feel as it would have to be a slow gradual change. A lot of the metric system which we already use.

It´s just unfortunate they didn´t show the distances in the solar system... that the distance between Jupiter and Saturn for example is 3x larger than between Mars and the Sun...

Since childhood, I've always wondered how things work in our solar system, what are the objects that we see in the sky. This video is really helpful that whoever watches it, will definitely understand the structure of our universe. For instance, I didn't know that Venus was hotter than Mercury although Mercury is closer to Sun. The information about moons was very interesting that I would never have thought of their existence around other planets. As we move further from the sun, we see more and more endless objects in the universe outside our Solar System. As mentioned, Earth is the only place where life is known to exist, although I think there also might exist life outside the Solar System as we were just a "dot" in the Milky Way.

It all depends on the context. If the planet was anywhere close to me, I would be pulled in by it's gravity and be sucked deep into the layers of hydrogen and ammonia. Jupiter would be unable to "sit" on anything due to the fact it has no true surface.
If this was Sailor Jupiter, it's a different story. If a situation like this is occuring, something involving sex would be happening, since she is hot.

No they really don't. As an astronomy major I can tell you that your average person has no idea that Haumea and Makemake are dwarf planets, but Kurzgesgat wanted to try to seem smart for naming the obscure ones

+Maxwell Erickson Honestly they are so unimpressive I'd rather think about that moon Jupiter (or Saturn, can't remember) has that looks like the death star because of a giant crater.
+Dylan Hollenhead You must have just become an astronomy major in the past few months if you're seriously calling Haumea and Makemake "obscure." If people know what Eris is, they typically know about Haumea and Makemake as well. Along with Ceres and Pluto, those are the most commonly known dwarf planets. They're on posters in science classrooms just about everywhere.
When I was volunteering at an observatory over the summer the only people who _didn't_ know about those dwarf planets were elderly folks who also didn't know there's more than one star system.
I will say they pronounced "Makemake" rather oddly, though.
