The flag Kelce got for dunking on the goalpost, he knew was gonna get flagged, and fined for it. He did it because that was Tony Gonzalez celebration every time he scored. Kelce wanted to give props to Tony, because with that touchdown, Kelce passed Tony in all time TD receptions for the Chiefs. Tony Gonzalez told Kelce before hand, that if he decided to dunk on the crossbar, Tony would pay the fine for him.
Kelce has said he has at least 2 years left in him. But, if we 3-peat I can see him hanging it up. The team is more than aware of his age. Noah is coming along nicely and we have an unknown in Wiley who has all the variable. On Watson, he's that one receiver that always shows up for one or two clutch catches when we need him. Other than that he's pretty well just background noise. If he got a shot on a team that played to his strengths and needed him to be a #2, he could be that guy. He's got good hands and just plays his ass off. Problem is we have so many in front of him currently.
As a Chiefs fan I'm pretty sure Kelce is going to retire after we 3 peat. So yes you are correct they are using him in a limited fashion, or it seems that way to me too. They are saving his best for the playoffs and super bowl.
Eh, I'm not too sure. If they 3 peat. He could take on a red zone and 3rd down specialist role and make a run at GOAT TE. He'll never have more yards than Gonzalez, but he can pretty easily get more TD's than Gronk and more rings if he's lucky.
20:54 he has lost a step when it comes to the Yards After Catch that we have been used to but he still is one of the best Receivers of All-Time (WR or TE) when it comes to getting open against Zone Coverage. He just finds the open spot every time. He still has the YAC in him on occasion but a lot of the explosion is gone but he’s in his mid-30’s so it’s expected…
Kelce has one more season left on his contract. He won't retire yet. At the beginning, Kelce was being double or triple teamed. And now our receiver room is coming into their own, so Kelce isn't being guarded like at all.
I don’t think Travis Kelce will retire this year he has 97 receptions this year 823 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns yes it’s less than the years before but he’s 35 years old and they’ve been using him a lot for blocking this year. If you watch that play where Patrick threw the long ball to Watson that play wouldn’t have been able to go through if Travis wasn’t blocking. Travis on his podcast that he’s not retiring . At the beginning of the season, he was getting double and triple covered because they know he’s a threat. Patrick said the other day in an interview then he’s just trying to keep Kelce healthy so he can keep him as long as possible. The reason Travis dunked it He just broke Tony Gonzalez‘s record with that touchdown and Gonzalez told him if he dunked it he’d pay the fine.
33:10 ironic because that narrative falls apart utterly once you look at the real penalty stats lol. Since Mahomes became the starter which team has had the most overall Penalties called against them? The Chiefs. Which team has had the most Penalties in Late and Close Situations (even pushed out to the ENTIRE 2nd Half and within EIGHT points so like the absolute most you can stretch it)? The Chiefs. Dude one of the reasons the Chiefs are so damn incredible is because unlike the Patriots who won with the help of the Refs, the Chiefs win IN SPITE OF the Refs. Just watch the greatness and be happy lol
That end zone INT was Pickens fault.. he should have ran a middle out route to keep Ried from falling back into coverage in the end zone, but u can see that McDuffie presses Pickens at the LoS so he just stops and stands there, leaving Justin Ried free to roam the end zone cuz no steelers ran routes to that side of the field 😂😂😂
We're (the Chiefs) the 18th most penalized team by yardage this year, and a Donkeys fan is saying they're paying for us to win! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 The hate is real!!!!!!! #ChiefsKingdom #HowBoutThoseDonkeys
The brown catch wasn't complete. It hit off the dbs foot then rolled on the ground. But mahomes hurried up the o and ran a play like 5 seconds after to make sure the steelers or the nfl couldnt change it
Kelce has just been too much of a weapon for KC...so much so that he's getting covered more heavily than ever, and it's become easier to read how Mahomes goes through his reads during pressure...because he's the go to guy, and everyone knows it...and it's always been their dynamic...but this is the NFL and once teams figure out how to counter a duo like theirs, it get's exploited....so many interceptions this season trying to adjust to that has made him seem not as great. But he's still THE guy.
We save Kelce for the playoffs now. We keep it vanilla in the regular season. You create your own luck by the way. You don’t see the amount of prep and extra work our staff does. Andy always has us prepared. Mahomes made clutch plays all year in the 4th Q. The defense won us same games for sure but it’s still a team game. It’s no surprise how much better the O has been with Brown back and average LT play. If we had Rice healthy too we would put up 30+ easily every week. We don’t need to score 30+ to win most games that’s why we don’t. Props to y’all for a good season. Nix is solid. Respect to you, always play us tough. You should beat our backups Sunday. F the Bengals! Lok
yes and no. Kelce seems like hes on a snap count but part of that is because of noah grey #83 our number 2 tight end coming into his own. Also because of the amount of recivers we have. Rice on ir, Worthy, JuJu, Hopkins, Brown, Watson. Plus having all 3 rbs can play out the back field. We dont need him to put up 100 and 2 td a game. Since Mahomes can get the ball to who ever to make the play. So seems like were saving kelce for the playoffs keeping his old man legs fresh as they can be.
First vid of yours I've seen. Hope that "bought Super Bowl" comment was tongue in cheek. Judging by your channel name I'd assume so. If you prescribe to the notion that KC actually buys their wins like so many other weirdos I won't be watching more. Nice analysis though. Tip. You know if you need to go frame by frame you can use < > buttons to go 1frame at a time in either direction.
What impressed me is Mahomes tossed it before Perine was even looking. He was still facing the sideline on the ground when the ball was in the air. Great job by Mahomes anticipating the great job by Perine not to give up on a play. Get up and look for Mahomes and, in this case, the ball already coming toward you.
And that penalty kelce got was paying respect to Tony Gonzalez because he just broke his record

Butkers miss on the first extra point was because Worthy got a taunting penalty on the TD

Damn! A lot of hate on Wilson's playing😂

he dunked the goal post because he broke tony gonzalez TD record (he was a CHIEF not a FALCON).. just showin love
I will die on the hill that the Seahawks made a mistake not backing the Legion of Boom over Wilson.

Which made the catch count as a completion...which is how it's done.

By the way, Chris Jones wasn't playing

Now go react to Nix choking twice in overtime
That may be so but he's still playing better than Wilson this year. Wilson is hot garbage being bailed out by a sub-par gameplan.
@ Nix is hot garbage being bailed out by a top 5 defense and scripted plays lmao. He’s terrible

This has been a really sub par season for kelce yea
To be fair, the doncs do in fact suck
The broncos are ass just get over it Steelers o line has been ass for ever
I hope our second string beats the donkeys this weekend. Pay back for the 90s plus help out the dolphins since they helped us in 2019
well yeah the play is dead if the receiver doesnt come back. thats the fucking point. its backyard ball

@ he gives his guys a chance several times every game. If they do not make the adjustment then mahomes wont see him for a week or two
