I liked Moblit for a good few reasons he kept Hanji safe,he was comedy relief,He protects Hanji,He helps Hanji with stuff,he’s just a awesome side character that wasn’t murdered in the first few episodes of season 1 like poor Petra. Need I say more?

Bro I was SOBBING when watching this. They're both indispensable characters, but I genuinely thought that Erwin was a better choice, however, when Erwin sees what's in the basement, then what? What will push him through that hell? His dream will be fulfilled. It's genuinely depressing, this series is depressing.

this is probably the only scene i regret reading in the manga first. i don’t really like reading because i suck at imagining the scene. shows already hand you everything so all you have to do is immerse yourself in it. when i read this chapter, i don’t really remember how i felt, but i knew what happened. so when the time came that i watched this episode, nothing shocked me anymore. it was just as how i pictured it would’ve been animated. but at the same time, i didn’t really have deep emotions when watching it. it just felt like a story i already knew being told again. it sucks lol
I think Armin deserved that injection he really helped those guys alot and the reasons for saving him were pretty solid but Erwin not saying in a bad way yes he was a great commander but he did lead thousands of soldiers to their death even if it was for a good cause and i don't think he could live with that ....... anyway its just my opinion
Actually Erwin's leadership changed everything for the scouts. His long-ranged scouting formation made him save more lives than previous commanders. We all know Erwin has more experience and knowledge but for me Armin receiving the syringe is the right decision. At his young age he discovered things very important for the scouts and also behind the scouts' important victories. Being Hange as the current commander, I think he can surpass her. But, both Erwin and Armin are indisposable characters and it is really hard to pick who.

It's simple. We get to see Armin's character development from the start, which makes us care for him, especially for his personality. Meanwhile, we see Erwin estoic and almost detached from the beginning. Anyways, I still prefer Erwin. His achievements are far superior, and he's the more logical choice for the serum...Oh, and I love his character and his motivations.

Maybe it's because he started growing on me as the story progressed that I get annoyed seeing readers/watchers brush him off. And yes, the serumbowl was simply ridiculous. i don't think people were necessarily dismissing Erwin's importance- it's just that in that moment, they were asked to choose between two indispensable characters, and while it's obvious to anyone with eyes that Erwin would normally be the first choice, with his leadership and experience, as readers, we were more sympathetic to armin because we saw more of his development, and because he's always been a character that's been underrated and overlooked despite having contributed so much. in the end, the reaction of the viewers probably boiled more down to who had more to live for, and would actually care about the lives of the people rather than who was more important logistically to destroying the titans. while i do admit that it felt empty after erwin's death because he was such a significant symbol of leadership (and also because i just liked his character in general), it was armin that ultimately saw that there were no more wasteful deaths, and armin that embodied what it was to be human
i was team erwin too. but that’s easy to say from a third-person perspective. no matter what anyone says, it was a personal matter to levi. if erwin finds out the truth in the basement, it’s unsure whether or not he will still have a drive to be the commander. just like kenny said, everyone’s a slave to something, it’s what keeps them going. if erwin stops being a slave to his fulfilled dream, what else will push him to become the commander? in the end, he will just be forced to become the devil again, but this time around, he’s not doing for anything anymore. what kind of commander would he be under those circumstances?

8:58 is one of the best moments in anime. This is the point of realisation of how both great and terrifying AOT is. Firstly, you’re anxious and don’t know what to expect. When Levi hands over the syringe, it feels like eternity. Just as you see Erwin’s body on the soldier, you *realise*. OMFG. The choice has to be made. And it tears you apart because both Armin and Erwin are indeed indispensable characters. And all of those feelings rush through you in a couple of seconds. Truly great piece of art.

The woman in the top right is so annoying. Floch LITERALLY went through a suicide charge where all of his friends died. He had worse than every single one of the people on the other side of the wall.

I never read the manga, but I feel like Bertholdt didn't really like what he was doing. Like he was just forcing himself to do something horrible. I don't know why but everytime Reiner talking about their plan and he was like there quietly thinking if he's going to do it or not. I feel sorry for him.

I read the manga years before watching this episode. However, I cried like a fucking baby for both versions.
When I first read it, I was the cadets' ages and I wanted them to save Armin because he was one of my favorite characters, but watching the anime as an adult, I really liked Erwin and wanted them to save him because he's got the experience, the willingness to sacrifice, and the leadership skills. I still see Armin's dreams as a good reason, but that argument is just a little bit weaker for me.
I think the only reason I'm okay with the decision is because my boy Erwin needed a break from the bullshit. Time for my baby to rest. RIP Commander. I'll see you in Hell.

I don't like how people think that Erwin "rejected" the serum - it was not it, he just had a vision about his childhood when he was asking his father about titans in class. Levi let him rest so Erwin will finally be at peace, not living in this hell with them. And Erwin thanking him knew if he will be dying, Levi would let him rest. Their relationship is so strong, it was very hard for Levi for sure but he did it for Erwin, for his good.
I'm more curious about erwin's reaction if he was right about the outside world than armin

If Erwin finds out about what's in the basement about the truth of the world or how cruel the world their facing in. Do you still want to revive him? A person who gave up on his dream, to see the cruel world again? Being a titan shifter is hard It's another bigger task to carry on to keep on going. That's why Levi said its already time for Erwin to have a rest.. And for Armin, it's too early, and he's too young to die, like Hange said, he doesn't have Erwin's Leadership.. But that's why he's young he has still more time to have development to become more better.

But in season 4, don't expect Armin to be that really useful. But he's not useless. It's just, his colossal titan is not like other titan who can transform anytime anywhere, if he transform in no time, he's just gonna explode the whole city and his comrades lol. And also he became a little different, because of Bertholdt's influence, of course Bert's memories and everything are inside of him now.

I don't think so. Erwen's dream is in that basement that's the only thing drive him all his life , and it's gonna be known real soon . After that Erwen will mostly lose his will.Kenny said the most important part of this ,everyone is a slave to sth ,to keep living in this world without mind broken, and Erwen is the slave to that truth of humanity.Once he gets to the basement knowing there are people living outside this island trying to end them, he will no longer be able to lead attacking back or even survive from it.
