    (fragrance free, non greasy, water resistant, stay in place, doesn’t burn/sting around the eyes, sensitive skin friendly, no white cast)
    5:37 anthelios xl anti shine spf50+

    Shaka fluid aka Invisible fluid is a PPD 46 (UVA protection). Also it uses Tinosorb S lite aqua. Basically this sunscreen is really big in terms of protection, it's critical wavelength is probably around 380nm instead of 370 recommended. It is quite shiny but for the protection and stability it gives, it is absolutely incredible. They also have a "spray" version of it for kids with PPD 36.

    It's funny how you mentioned that people hate greasy sunscreens but love oils! I have noticed this as well haha I personally don't mind a bit more of a greasy sunscreen for under makeup, it almost gives me a bit of extra moisture that helps my makeup to stay dewy! On days that I don't wear makeup, I definitely try to find a less greasy sunscreen but I don't mind if it has a little bit because I would rather feel a little oily/dewy than stripped and dry!

The last thing I needed to get was a sunscreen. I tried two other of your recommendations but they pilled over my moister cream and actually stung a bit. Returned then and got THE ONE La Roche-Posey sunscreen you didn’t mention here ( but I figured if all the other are great why wouldn’t this one be) and it’s the cooling water-lotion. I'm so happy that you made this video. I love La Roche Posay. The first bottle I owned was a hand me down from a friend during my China study abroad. It was all I had for sunscreen when I travelled rural China that summer. My friend and I burned horribly on our first day, because we tried to find a place via walking and got lost for 2-3 hours in the midday sun. After that I wore sunscreen religiously every 2 hours, because we were hiking everywhere.
    I didnt wash my face or brush my teeth or shower for weeks at a time. It was RURAL China and honestly I felt dirty just looking at their bathrooms, it felt cleaner not showering. So all I did for skincare for about a month was La Roche Posay every 2 hours.
    I am very oily and acne prone. I didnt break out at all!!! I look back on that time as one of the great brief periods of my life that I actually had clear beautiful skin with no acne. I personally had such an amazing experience using La Roche Posay and I would recommend this to others!

    I have very sensitive skin and cystic acne and I've been using the LRP Shaka fluid spf50+ for 8 months and It's has been the sunscreen that I have ever used. Also probably the best available in SouthAmerica.
    I've had tried Missha's Sunscreen (Zero Sebum spf50+) and Avéne Fluid Sunscreen no fragrance (spf50+). The first one has been too overdrying, and the second one has been kind of oily for our humid weather but suitable for some dry winter days

    I've actually seen how when I forget to use my zinc oxide SPF 50 I get a burn and inflammation and when I use it there's full protection. And this is in Australian summer aswell, so mineral sunscreens really are some of the best, you can't really get away from the cast when it comes to sun protection.

      I would personally like to see a video on chronic staph infections and the best way to prevent/treat them. My GP hasn't been particularly helpful aside from just saying they're incredibly stubborn... like, no shit dude. I've been on countless courses of oral antibiotics and the damn things always end up coming back.
      I'd love to know exactly how I contracted this. I spent 30 years of my life never having them and then bam...all of a sudden I have to deal with them. Constantly. Even if I just get a regular zit and pop it (yes, I am very careful when doing this) the blood and puss has a 'sticky' like texture to it. I know that's kinda gross but dermatology in general involved a lot of gross stuff, just go watch Dr. Lee's channel :P
      I must say, they have simmered down **a lot** since starting tretanoin and occasionally using a topical antibiotic as a kind of spot treatment but I want them gone for good :/

    The La-Roche Posay Anthelios Hydrating Cream spf50+ (with the blue line) is perfect for normal to dry skin. It feels just like any other moisturiser, leaves zero white cast and spreads very easily on the skin. I have an oily T-zone but I can make it work with with a bit of mineral powder. It is moisturising without being sticky and greasy. Guys, you should come to Europe and buy a suitcase of sunscreens when this pandemic is over!

    The second sunscreen you reviewed, the La Roche Posay Anthelios Anti Shine, it leaves a white cast by the way because of the small amount of titanium dioxide that it contains, if you're a guy and have facial hair or if you're just someone with a more darker skin tone, not necessarily black, even if you are olive or have a Mediterranean skin tone, you will definitely see the white cast especially when applied liberally and you really do have to apply sunscreen liberally to get good even coverage, I also find that it can pill, trust me I've used it, I know. oh and it also has a PPD of 31

    • @marcia6010
      @marcia6010 4 ปีที่แล้ว +62

      I just bought that sunscreen, mainly for the amazing protection it provides, but I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out how to make it look good. I've tried everything: applying it all over the face at once, section by section, as fast as I can, slowly and calmly... Nothing works. It pills like crazy, it's like it dries immediately upon touching your skin; when you're getting to the last bits of your face (usually eyelids) it already dried up on your fingers so you're just rubbing the pilled sunscreen into your face. It does dry in white patches and streaks, and it clings to eyebrows, hairline and any other facial hair. It looks awful.
      I really need an online course or something on "how to apply LRP anti-shine 101", because a lot of people love it and recommend it. I must be idiot here.
