At the Dollar Tree I shop at last month I saw a full size can of Folger's coffee for $5. Hmmm. I know I can get that at the regular grocery store for less on sale, so why would I buy that?? Hmmm. This is a real shame. So many of us depend on the lesser prices. The struggle is real.
The Dollar Tree where I live in Canada raised their base price from $1.50 to $1.75 a couple of weeks ago, but its not across Canada yet. We don't have the plus section. We did have items that also ranged from $1.75-$2. Currently it tops out at $3. A box of cereal that we were paying $1.50 for a month ago, costs $3 now. The higher prices are on food items. No thanks. I'm paying attention to the weekly sales at other stores and shopping there instead.
