just take the racoon inside and tell it. it is the new house pet here is your food and water !!! either it will live with you or run away as soon as the door is open !!! but it looks very timid !! and yes they make great pets !!! and they can learn to use kitty litter !!! I owned 3 in my life time and all were wild ones !!!
