That Camaro could be my favourite car on the internet. Love that it isn't a show car, that it is drivable, that you would want to drive it and that it looks scary just sitting there.
Nothing like three pedals! I know the feeling you were going through. My son had a 5 speed NSX and when I drove it in it's stock configuration, it was fast for a six cylinder. Then, he added a roots supercharger, larger injectors, close ratio transmission and modified rear end and suspension. He offered me the car one weekend but I refused. I can't imagine how fast that thing can really go.
Seems like you got the knack of that stiff clutch pretty quickly. Some folks maybe don't realize that if you daily drive a clutch moving to another car takes some adjustment. Even an 80 HP Japanese econobox I could shift with one toe can trip me up until I get used to it.
OMG! You just gave me a flashback to 1977. I was coming back on Hwy 1 from Point Mugu in my 1969 Camaro SS396/Turbo 400. I turned onto Las Posas Road and headed towards Camarillo when a guy in a '78 Vette pulled alongside me and we nodded and took off. I pulled away from him at top end and looked in my rear view mirror as his motor grenaded. It was a fantastic summer day memory. Now I am driving the "Orange Krate" a 2011 Camaro 2SS. BTW Reggie at Turbonetics rocks. Met him 12 years ago when Turbonetics was in Moorpark. Great products. Thanks for posting. That Camaro is a studmuffin. Also, I know where there is a parked 2011 Camaro with the same type engine setup, turbo and side exhaust! Its a runner and it is just sitting in a barn in Tehachapi.
Great car thanks for sharing it again. I'm in Detroit Michigan it's snowing today, I've had alot of Camaros the best one was a 69 Z/28 all original in 1975 got in a chase with the cops, I was 15, my mom made me sell it. I didn't get caught but the guy that was with me told my mom. I lived in Quail valley Ca. 1988, I had 2 69 Camaros, one was a Michigan car, both 4spd cars I sold them Orange county. I loved all the clean old iron in Cali, I had to move back to Mich. Because I was neglecting myself by buying cars and not eating and drinking I had a bad addiction called Hot rod lover, I just couldn't say no
Man that thing sounds good! It’s one of those that would be fun just running around all day. Danny built a damn good car there, so glad you have it on again(him, Liv, n’ Andrew are a great combo, Gnarly Speed Shop). Another great video Ben!👍👍 Thanks a ton man, keep ‘em coming.
I'm so old school and more of greaser than a gearhead if that makes sense, but that turbo snort and seeing you get pinned almost makes me change my mind. Thanks for posting.
Great video Ben and some good driving from you on your first drive if that bitch’n Camaro. That thing sounds sooo good. Good to see you having fun on this one man👌👍. I just had to watch it again😂

No discrimination lol

The clutch wasn’t too heavily actually. I just needed to give it way more throttle. Very true
I don't know any 80hp econobox's. All Hondas are 3 puck stage 6 clutch on 30psi ethanol injected putting over 750hp just to start. Grow up.
I still struggle taking off in 1st gear with my 06 Yaris vs a T56 LS car, it's got no torque below 3k RPM, such a pain.

That kind of honest laugh after each pull is how you know the car was built right.
