They used to show movies at 4pm during the early 80s also. I saw this movie a lot growing up. I forgot TV stations used to sign off sometimes.

This opening to WJLA-TV’s “Great Late Movie” at 1:05 looks a lot like “Star Wars” to me. Except the closing at 25:27 is the longer version of the opening.
