    Gotta admit, I probably would have thought of drilling holes and filling them with sealant, but that's where it would have ended. Tapping in threads and using grub screws to seal it off? And using the self-leveling sealant instead of expanding foam? Genius. May seem small to you, but probably the tenth time you've blown my mind with ingenuity throughout this build. And the tenth time that if I run into something similar in my own adventures I now know the answer to. Keep it up EXO!

  • @IamtheLordofDoom
    @IamtheLordofDoom 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The thing to understand about resonances is they don't work by themselves, you have to put the energy in first, and at the resonant frequency. Your subs are gonna be the only thing making stuff shake down there and that's only gonna be at very low frequences - plus insane SPLs. You'd never hear that resonance! But..... this is what is so awesome about this project, the total attention to every detail. No Flex Zone - at EVERY frequency!!! Keep it coming!

    • @IamtheLordofDoom
      @IamtheLordofDoom 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plus, moar shorter videoz for the win! =) I approve this message!

    • @IamtheLordofDoom

      Also just occurred to me you could wrap the braces in something - pipe insulation, maybe?

    Love all the hard work going in to the build ❤

  • @cw824
    @cw824 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A hole drilled above the fill hole would have let the trapped air escape, relieving the pressure. It basically was like an aerosol spray can because there was no way for air to escape. That's why the filler was shooting out the fill hole. The relief hole also would have allowed the entire pipe to be filled with the caulking.

  • @SomberScream

    Having a second breathing hole 45 degrees from the original hole may have kept it from exploding.

    EXO,
    being an old school car audio enthusiast from backninnthe day when custom car audio got it's start, I worked for R&D Mobile audio (Research & Development).
    i know it may be kinda late however I would have suggested using 3/4* wood dowel rods inserted into the tubes covered in adhesive so as to act as a dampener.
    what about the wood burning when welding you might wonder.
    the wood would be large enough and lack of oxygen in the tube would cause it to smoleer a bit but not catch fire and burn up likenthe foam did as the wood is more dense.
    love this build and have been following from the say you bought the van!!!!!!
    looking forward to seeing and hearingbthe final product.
    would love the opportunity to be able to see it in person.
    keep up the good work and yes I agree.....more shorter videos with more content is needed.
    good luck and keep rocking!!!
