Just did this to my car looks way cleaner and have not had any problems so far. I would recommend this mod to everyone and if u notice a problem buy a replacement as the part is very cheap
Great video. I'll see if my daughter wants to do this to her Slash. From what I understand as long as the clear top of the antenna is kept vertical the 2.4GHz range should be slightly affected if any tucking into the box. Thanks for the vid!
@@BeyondTheScale So I cut the tube this morning and definitely no range issues for sure. I ran it further than I would normally drive it and it responded great. Thanks for the video!
That'll be a good time for sure! I'm looking to upgrade mine at some point to brushless I think. For now though I'll rip through the dirt with the stock motor lol.
What I don’t get is why Traxxas antenna have to stick up so high. I replaced mine with a cheap GoolRC 2.4ghz that stick up just 1/2 inch and it has excellent range. It looks super clean on my Traxxas Bandit.
Hi, do you know where I can get a replacement antenna for my slash rwd, factory one has shredded and I’ve lost range and response, one that has good distance would be good if you know any? Cheers
Thanks for commenting, if your referring to the actual wire part of the antenna then I think you might be stuck having to replace the whole receiver. I've had good luck with the Tactic remote/receivers for the price. If your looking for one to bind with your current remote I'm not to sure on a good replacement besides a Traxxas one. Hope this helps!
