    Newcastle stepped it up second half and applied high pressure, but if you analyse each goal - they were all courtesy of Sunderland mistakes. Men v Boys 2nd half though definitely.

    • @gibsonduvall
      @gibsonduvall 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      BRO: Not sure what type of football you watch but if you believe the first goal, especially, was courtesy of safc then you are either obtuse or very naive, or even both? - Great attacking play, great ball into the danger area and if Ballard doesn't try to get something on it the nufc player has a tap in.
      Also, an attempt to clear by a defender in those circumstances always has a chance of it ending up in the back of the net - do you actually watch football?
      I'll suggest even the third was because of forceful attacking play which drew the attempted tackle.
      Feel free to explain to me why I am incorrect from what I have written.

    • @KingOfSpadesBRO
      @KingOfSpadesBRO 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @colnzee7323 @colnzee7323 you're claiming an own goal was created from great attacking play, defensive error from Hume to have let Joelinton past.. then a double error from Ballard turning it into his own goal.
      Second goal, complete naivety from Sunderland who wouldn't have known so early on that the press was clearly being applied more from the get go, gave the ball away cheaply..
      You could argue the pen was from aggressive play, you could also argue that it would have come to nothing but for a late, irrational, frustrated challenge from a lad who'd already scored on O.G.
      Assuming you're a Geordie judging by your response, I'm a Boro fan if you were wondering, the 3 0 scoreline does not flatter Newcastle with the difference in quality there so clearly is

      @@KingOfSpadesBRO
      Joelinton was attacking and beat his man, I'm pretty sure Hume tried to stop him but couldn't, he was already passed him when Hume decided to lunge. Truly bizarre reasoning and I've already explained the Ballard part - which you've conveniently decided to ignore I see.
      Would you rather Ballard not make any effort whatsover in those circumstances, it was a very difficult ball to defend "In those circumstances", and I have some sympathy for him but that happened entirely because he was forced into doing something!! He had to try something because of the player waiting behind him... for a tap in, you see many OG's go in under "those circumsatnces", oh wait, I've already mentioned that, apologies but feel free to tell me why I'm incorrect, oh wait...
      I will kind of agree with you regarding the second goal, however, please point out where I mentioned the second goal?
      That said, it was NUFC's pressing in those positions which lead to the forced 'error' - Or do you believe that didn't play a part? Btw, if you don't agree with that then you have zero credibility for what you write.
      I'll admit there was continued naivety in trying to play out from the back for this goal, however, it's not like they hadn't had a warning about Almiron continuosly chasing down every ball, as he did it all throughout the game.
      Feel free to argue against that also.
      You've countered and argued against your own suggestion for the third goal perfectly, which means I don't have to, bravo.
      Well it was obvious you aren't an NUFC fan! I'm pretty certain you would be writing what I have if your team had won in this fashion? And if you wouldn't be, then you are one of those who give no credit to the attacking team

      3rd goal for me he didn't need to challenge like that at all but that's all in the moment of the game and lack of experience from Ballard, you could see it a mile away what was going to happen when he tracked back

    I enjoyed that! :0)
    Nice to see a true blood and guts, Derby Cup Tie.
    Made all the better by no VAR interfering every 5 minutes for half an hour at a time.
    Just a shame Sunderland had to shoot themselves in the foot, three times and it really was not Ballard's day was it.
    The OG couldn't be helped, if Ballard had not got there, Isak would have, but the second goal, as a Defender, if you are the last Man you do NOT poddle about with it, by trying to beat an opposition Forward.
    As for the penalty, well...there really was no need for that foul and enough said.
    It was a shame Sunderland could not have offer more going forward and they should have gone for it more, but still an enjoyable game and reminded me of the time when Football was fun and didn't have all the theatrical ham acting, rolling around on the ground for 10 minutes at a time, like they had been shot., every time they were breathed on.
    More of this for the future please!!!

Also if you go 3-0 down in a derby and don’t get a man sent off then those players on that pitch in red and white don’t know the meaning of this rivalry.
