it's funny. because of how the episodes are split, the flow of information is kinda interrupted and makes it less obvious that things don't add up. last episode we learned that Himekawa is 20 years old. this episode we learn that his parents died when he was 5 years old. so that's 15 years in the past - two years before Ai's death.
I think it was intentional, like only observant people will get it and maybe connect the dots

The thing that's blowing my mind is not only do we have a full set of B-Komachi songs from the anime, we're also getting an entirely different set of B-Komachi songs from the live-action show coming up in Japan. I guess it must be different production companies making the shows or you'd think they'd use the same songs, but it ends up feeling like two alternate realities with two alternate versions of B-Komachi.

But wasn't Aqua 4 when Ai called the dad to see if he wanted to meet the twins (which triggered the stalker attack)? So half-bro's "dad" wasn't the one that killed himself. Otherwise, who did Ai talk to on the phone? And why isn't Aqua doing that math?!
This is such a good timing for this reaction. It's been long enough since the anime aired, I am enticed by the Roxy-tier anime all over again. Plus, Oshi no Ko just had its finally chapter end the whole damn thing, so my hype is through the roof.

Just to be clear, a DNA test can show who Aqua's father is because the test showed that Himekawa and Aqua are brothers by blood but different mothers.

I love it! A lot of reactors just take Uehara being Aqua's father at face value in this episode, but Prez had that figured out right away, and Cara immediately realized that Himekawa's Mom could have cheated, which some other reactors hadn't figured out even after the next episode. And Prez saw right away that Aqua losing his star represents him losing his motivation in life, which I also believe is true and will probably come into play in the future. Great to see two sharp people pick up on all this right away!
Surprisingly you're the only reactors I've seen who immediately came to the same conclusion I did, that Himikawa's mother was the one who was having an affair. As simple as it is every other reaction channel seems to come up with some outrageous theory instead. That or they just accept that Aqua's father is dead.
Uehara finding out about it makes perfect sense as the probable trigger for the lovers' suicide, as well. It all fits, whereas a mother killing her husband and herself, leaving her child an orphan seems highly unlikely, no matter how distraught she may have been.
