Using UGC clips of the events themselves, Chris Packham deconstructs the weirdness using eyewitness accounts, scientists and BBC archive footage.
In this series there is everything from scores of pigs swimming in the Caribbean to the tiny tick that is turning America vegetarian. There is a giant worm decimating fish tanks, a strange blob appearing when comets are seen, the real-life sea serpent washed up on the Californian coast and a Japanese island swarming with rabbits.
In the UK a virgin snake gives birth, in the US a sea serpent washes up and in Morocco 12 goats stand stock still in a tree. It's a weird world, and Chris Packham explains why.
Off the west coast of America sea stars are in trouble, tearing off their own limbs off which then wander away themselves.

They tried their best to deliver their content for American audience. Americans love zombies, special effect and a documentary program that repeats the same point a zillion times so that they can understand it, and even if they didn't understand anything, they still could gain some satisfaction (which is usually all that they need). As it turned out, some American audience are smart enough to notice that the video is dumb, but not smart enough to notice that it's intentional.

I've heard only one in the entertainment world who has difficulty with that -- Jonathan Ross -- and he catches six kinds of hell from comedians about it. It's a speech impediment, not a quirk of accents.

The way he talks is distracting, and could be downright incomprehensible to, say, non-native English speakers. It makes him a poor fit for the job of narrating a documentary. That's all I'm saying. It's an impediment he can work to fix, and he should, if he has further aspirations of voice work. Kids with speech impediments should also be able to receive SLP services to fix it, instead of embracing it like it's some kind of diversity thing. Because it isn't.
