Probably your best video to date! You're getting very skilled at editing and showcasing your explanations with nice pacing. The edited explanation at around 10:00 is particularly great at showcasing exactly what you're talking about in an easy to understand visual. I also enjoyed the "story" approach of walking us through your experiments, attempts, and failures. Like any project, there are probably tons of potential optimizations, but the important thing is that it works and it was cool to see the concept come to life. Keep it up brother! If i had to guess i think your program was getting caught on the swatter animation, killed insects falling off the screen and other particles. I wonder if there would be a way to keep track somewhat of what was hit and track it across the screen as it moves, and a way to exclude the swatter since you already know where the swatter animation will play, and what the frames of it look like? But maybe that would mess up the speed :p

I wonder if it would've worked if you'd have ignored any movement within a range of your last hit, for the purpose of making sure it ignores the swatter and goes after actual flies? Also- if you're willing to share, how'd you get this code working on (presumably) an actual Wii U? Very neat video, it was satisfying to see code beat something I never could. :]
It did! This was a true story about how I wanted that Mystery Mushroom costume. I was surprised that it worked, but a little disappointed that I couldn't easily replicate it. In the end, I was able to get what I wanted, even if the code isn't perfect.
