    The IS350 was good but the ISF is a great move welcome to the F squad brethren you only need full bolt on and headers with RR Racing tune and you’re good. Bless up brethren 🙌🏽💯

      @@lexusrcf2441 in Houston, we had 2 cars run RR intakes with tunes. However, the tune file for the intakes didn’t make sense, leaving STFT and LTFT completely wrong out of spec. One member started with a nearly 11 KCLV, and his KCLV doubled after TunedByLoi.

      @@Loud_ISF well my experienced is way different. I had an ISF with fbo and RR racing tuned It was the motor tuned not the intake tune and that car gained 44 whp. Now I currently have my RCF FBO RR racing tuned (ecu) and I gained 57. Whp it’s a beast, I’m spanking everything the F is unruly now

    I have been following for years, man! Your videos pushed me towards my O6 350! 189k miles and still running like a beast. When I found out they made one with a V8... I've been obsessed since. More than happy to see you go this route! We both know what headers and an exhaust will do to that sound too 👀 If I ever get my hands on an IS F or 500 that would be the first thing I do!

      Well done bro. I've loved 2nd gen IS from day one. I went to a special launch back for the 2nd Gen IS in 06'. In Feb this year I realized my dream and got a 2012 (MY13) IS 350 Sports Luxury (Vermillion Fire red with ivory interior). 54k miles (87.4 k kms). Unfortunately in Australia, a low mileage IS 350 2nd gen is hard to find (I had to go interstate) but an IS f even harder, rarer and wayyyy more expensive! My car is mint condition except needs a bit of TLC on the drivers seat (that's ivory interior for you), but it's in truly spectacular condition and turns heads wherever I go. It's great to hear your car with 189k miles is still running like a beast! Amazing car.

    Your is350 was a nice modded car and it probably would’ve been cheaper to keep and maintain cuz of the fact that they made plenty of cars with the same engine (cheaper parts), but the ISF has that rarity and v8 sound that all us 350 owners low key want, I’m probably gonna do the same as you but I’m emotionally attached to my car, I’ve taken her from LA to the deserts of Arizona ❤

    I'd love an IS F, I have a 2012 IS 350 Sports Luxury with 92k kms (58 k miles). It's a couple of fixes away from being a concourse car (front driver's seat and a rear scratch dent near the rear wheel arch). it's Vermillion tri-coat pearl red with Sand (Ivory interior). Me and my friends call it 'the Jag (uar) pack' because it's got the walnut timber with the ivory interior and it's full house being a Sports Luxury...but gee, an IS F is stuff of dreams in the blue Cobalt mica and white black interior for me! I remember seeing it debut in y part of the world (Australia) at the Sydney International Motor Show) It was the blue and white interior, was so beautiful, always made an impression on me.

    Love the cars. Out of my Crown Athlete VX JZS171 and this I prefer the 2GR fse especially the Interior but not many manual box conversions available like for my spec bigger turbo 1JZGTE , I was lucky also to have driven a rare Toyota Cesior/Lexus 4.3 V8 BLITZ twin supercharged with some pals there in Japan. Looking forward to a K20 k24 swap build after owning an Civic EP3 Type R I shortly owed a Honda CRX Del Sol before for long enough time that would be a cheap fun project to combine both , especially after AWD conversion and 800hp !!! Gunning on !!

    I've been following your Lexus videos for a couple years now with great enjoyment. You should be super proud of how hard you've worked, how far you've come and all the valuable lessons you've learned along the way. Your ISF is really clean and from experience these are great cars which can last a LONG time if maintained properly. You can reliably get over 430 whp with a full exhaust system including headers, aftermarket intakes and a tune. There is also huge potential for visual modifications which I am sure you are aware of and will work your way through. The best part of these cars in my opinion is the sound and the feels rather than the speed however. It would be really cool to see you lightly modify the ISF with boltons and aesthetic mods and make it full your own, then work on improving the driver mod. If you look after it and maintain it you can comfortably push these drivetrains with no issues or worries and develop your abilities as a driver. If/when you have a couple grand you could also look at upgrading the stock open diff that 2006-2009 models came with to an LSD from a newer model which will turn it into a track and drift monster.
    Whatever you decide to do I'm sure youll make the best decision for your situation. Keep up the great work man. Hope to see some track days in the ISF in the future because drag racing is pretty boring haha.

    • @MartyMotoring
      @MartyMotoring  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah these are definitely fun cars and I’ve driven one on the track and one on the canyon backroads and always wanted one and finally have one.
      Going through all the maintenance and exterior mods, and headers and LSD are on the performance mod list for sure!
      Just taking my time and getting the funds together.
      Drag racing is boring after the first run lol and pointless in this car since I know it’ll do 12s and maybe 11s with perfect conditions and FBO. The track is more fun! But wears everything out faster 😂

    same reason I got out of my 350. it had 130xxx km and the trans was unhappy stock minus the tune. it was tracked heavily when I did bring it to events. now I'm in a controversial car, 05 Mazda rx8. but 3 pedals and a track designed car is better than a family cruiser with a good motor if you like to track.

    I suggest that you or anybody that's not 65+ years old to never get rid of catalytic converters in our performance cars. On cars made from the 90s or so, the cats don't take a lot of horsepower to clean the emissions like it did in the 70s and early 80s, so the hp difference isn't really worth the extra pollution, or if you don't care about that, it's not worth contaminating yourself since you're going to be the main person driving the car. Not to mention, us younger adults are more likely to move to a different state because of job opportunities and plenty of states won't allow catless vehicles newer than 25 years old, I believe.

    Hands down my opinion…RR racing being like the only company to make anything for the F in terms of real power. Its a dang shame - and 10K with no install included is crazy!! Plus working on the car afterwards is just a pain in the ass. Cuz finding someone who you can trust to do this work with quality is hard. There is virtually no room under the hood to swap maintenance parts. (Water pump, etc). I also hate that Raspy weak sound…fast or not to me it sounds like crap. V8’s just sound like pure power
