Dogs are amazing, I look at it this way, she served a purpose, she held a place in your heart, a nice cozzy warm corner, keeping it safe and warm for your new bub, she was the keeper of the love in your heart knowing the baby was coming, now the baby's here her job is done, she can now move on and chase the clouds in heaven knowing she did the best to leave room in your heart
I’m so sorry. We lost our Polly Alice, a tabby cat, at age 21 on Good Friday this year. She was a rescue kitty we adopted at six months old, and she was sweet, smart, and funny. Her mind and body just could not continue. She stopped eating, and told us in many ways that she wanted to leave, so with the help of our very kind vet, she went to sleep peacefully. We know what you are going through, and we send all good wishes that your heart will open to other animals who need your care.

My partners best friend of 14 years (Had her since she was 5 weeks old) sadly left us earlier this year 😥 then a few weeks later out of the blue, he gets diagnosed with terminal brain cancer! He's 46, never smoked, drinks like a fun fish, works like 10 men and our lives will never be the same. He's just finished 6 weeks of radiation and chemo (came thru it like the fkn legend that he is) now has a 4 week break then back on chemo as long as his body can take it. Moral of this story ... buttsmarn and sicky and lil atty don't let these "puddles" (great word Clare) interrupt you and/or your lives. Keep being you, you make me smile even when there's fuck-all to smile about Love your work. RIP Rosie 💔💜💚

And the only way they'll learn is if someone DOES hold them to the same standards. Only then will they backtrack and come to the realisation that censorship might not be a good thing. We lost our Boston to Cushing's disease at 7 years old. From the moment we got him he was a feisty little firecracker. He made everyone fall in love with him, we even had neighbours volunteering to look after him for a day or take him out for walks 🤣. He was also incredibly small and still looked like a little puppy right up until we found out he had cushings. It went downhill fast, he lost his hair, muscles, he couldn't jump anymore, couldn't hold in his pee or poo at all, wouldn't eat and was just plain miserable. Eventually his eyes also started to go which meant that he would be completely blind. We made the decision quite quickly to put him down. In my mind he had 7 amazing years where he went on holiday with us, went for amazing walks, had all these people around him who loved him, and this was just his end. Dogs don't know that they are going to be put down. He got a big bit of cheese and some peanut butter for his last meal and he went out happy. Every second we would have prolonged his suffering would only have been for us, not for him. You guys did the right thing❤ I know it is hard, but it is life.
When we lost our staffy it was absolutely Devo to us all. Dogs are family and deserve to be treated as such! RIP Rosie! 😍 My brother and older sister didn't have the polio vax and guess what? Both developed polio when they were 2 years and 3 years old...
Totally agree with spacing out vaccines. My kiddo had a terrible reaction to one set of vaccinations. While doing the 15 min wait her temperature spiked, she started screaming and shaking, an ambulance called, hospital on alert, GPs running around. Was very scary. That said, I'm totally for vaccines! Saved millions of children from suffering and early death.
My late godfather died of dementia and bless him he was a shell of the man he used to be, nurses were in twice a day keeping him physically alive on all these drugs but mentally? no, he couldn't speak, lift his head up or eat without assistance. It is a horrible condition and there isn't much you can do about it. RIP Rosie, we all know that Isaac and Clare gave you the best life that you could have had.
That pain cuts very deep. I am very sorry for your loss. My wife and I stopped having dogs just because of the trauma saying goodbye causes inside of us. Our last dog suffered longer than he needed to because we were soo afraid of saying goodbye to him. I refuse to do that to another dog. We are too broken hearted to responsibly own another dog.

In the last 2 months i recemtly travelled 10000km from the nsw /vic border, across vic, sa, tge nullabor, to the pilbara in wa then all the way down the coast and inland to kalgoorlie to a cattle station for my next (now current) job woth my two dogs. Within two weeks of me geeting here (also two weeks ago) i lost my 5 month old kelpie puppy to snake bite and My bull arab has been in two fights and had a Barney with a horse and got made piss... the same dog survived pavo as a young puppy and in the last two weeks I've really learned to cherish him. Unfortunately they can't out live us. Sorry for your loss guys

I got my cat when he was just 5 weeks old, (probably way to early) but it was take him or he was going to whoever would take him for free in the very horrible city I live in, Baltimore, Maryland so I took him. I got him when I wasn't working i was on unemployment thanks to c-19 i was so depressed that I wasnt showering I wasnt getting out of bed and I was waking up pissed off cuz waking up meant i was still alive and when this little boy came in my life he saved me from myself. I don't have children or a partner and this cat legit saved me from myself and to me it's the cruellest thing in the entire world that animals dont live as long as we do. He is my entire world. He IS my son. Everyone I work with know more about my cat then they do about me. I literally run in the door after work everyday to get to him. I cannot even imagine the pain and I would have done the same exact thing, I would take out a loan just to pay for medicine if my boy needed it.

Poor Rosie. You did right by her but it's a horrible thing to have to do. My very first dog developed a cancer that ate away at his nasal cavity and he started bleeding out of his nose. They just couldn't do anything for him and we had to put him down when he was 10. He was as sweet as ever till the end. I swear, the night before we took him to the vet to be put to sleep I could not stop crying and he would come over like always when I was upset and slide his nose under my arm so he could get under and give me a hug and nuzzle against me. I was only 10 when we first got him from the pound. He was already 3 by that point and was the sweetest boy. We already had a cat but they were fast friends, always lying next to each other. They were both special.
Sincere condolences guys. My heart goes out to you. Grieve and say your goodbyes, but also remember that these are heavy vibes for your newborn to absorb. Keep in mind the blessing you have just received and with no disrespect to Rosie, move forward positively.
i had to do the same thing this time last year most horrific experience of my life having to watch my best friend of 16 years deteriorate so rapidly and then having to make the decision i delayed as long as i could but had to make the decision it was hard watching him suffer no matter how bad i wanted to him to stay him not eating for a week and just looking up at me sadly with this look like he knew i kiss him still everyday and bring him into the lounge room with us stay strong guys the pain never goes away but it eventually dulls

We had to put our Maltese terrier down due to Cushings disease. The last few months were horrible as during the day she seemed perfect but in the evening she would wonder the house as if she was lost. She also stopped recognising us so we made the decision that it was cruel keeping her alive to keep us happy. It is a horrible disease as some days seem like your dog you raised running around and playing and then the next she would look at you with a frightened look in her eyes. 😢😢
That’s insane. I always wanted to think dogs just didn’t make it that long to experience that. I’m so sorry to hear that. My kitty turns 7 this year and each year just becomes more worrisome etc. she’s not sick or anything but she’s just getting old and sassy

In the UK the first pregnancy blood tests they do screens for HIV and hepatitis amount other things. Also my eldest son is 21 and my youngest is 2. I was shocked at how many extra vaccines are given in those first few jabs these days, my nurse was too but I figured it's always best to get vaccinated. Didn't consider splitting them up.
Your way to vaccinate your son is beautiful my son had bad reactions but this is a great way to compromise 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 doctors should suggest this. You still have all the given things to him just in a better way 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Always trust your gut, especially when it comes to your kids. Doctors aren't perfect and we had several occasions where we luckily followed our instincts instead of listening to the doctor. Spreading the shots out is a good idea as they don't need most of them anymore anyway.
My oldest son's father died of Hepatitis B in 1993, when my son was 5 months old. That's why i chose to vaccinate my children for it. It was a sudden, devastating death. He was 20 years old.

That’s insane. I always wanted to think dogs just didn’t make it that long to experience that. I’m so sorry to hear that. My kitty turns 7 this year and each year just becomes more worrisome etc. she’s not sick or anything but she’s just getting old and sassy

In the UK the first pregnancy blood tests they do screens for HIV and hepatitis amount other things. Also my eldest son is 21 and my youngest is 2. I was shocked at how many extra vaccines are given in those first few jabs these days, my nurse was too but I figured it's always best to get vaccinated. Didn't consider splitting them up.
I'm visiting Newcastle and I got the flu on the 2nd day! It must be going around. Ruined me holiday.

Your way to vaccinate your son is beautiful my son had bad reactions but this is a great way to compromise 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 doctors should suggest this. You still have all the given things to him just in a better way 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Always trust your gut, especially when it comes to your kids. Doctors aren't perfect and we had several occasions where we luckily followed our instincts instead of listening to the doctor. Spreading the shots out is a good idea as they don't need most of them anymore anyway.

My oldest son's father died of Hepatitis B in 1993, when my son was 5 months old. That's why i chose to vaccinate my children for it. It was a sudden, devastating death. He was 20 years old.
😢so sorry for you,WE also had to put our little dog Jack to sleep on the same day.He also had cushings same things were happening, it's cruel.We ended up donating his body to science because they don't know yet what really causes it,he was 16yrs old,I feel for you guys,IM TELLING YOU THIS EXACT THING HAPPENED TO JACK❤❤
I didn’t know they did the Hep B needle to bubs now.
I know they did the heal prick and vitamin K needle a few days after they are born.
