- Quiet and picturesque, with easy access to many of BU’s schools and colleges, the 19th-century brownstones that line Bay State Road are a popular choice for under- and upperclassmen alike.
On the quiet, tree-lined street parallel to the Charles River are both regular and specialty houses with a more intimate housing experience than typical dorms. In this video, Rohin Bajaj (ENG’25) and Sophia Delia (ENG’23) give us a tour of their brownstone.

In 1977, 163 BSR was connected to 161, with the main entrance at 161. Your 2nd floor dorm room, #211, facing the river, was MY room! You are living in my Jr. year dorm room! So cool to see.
