Feb 2023- I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in one of the photo groups during winter. It was cold but quite the experience. Would do it again. Thanks to all the staff making this such a great visit. Looking forward to the upcoming star train!

Aloha from Hawai'i! This video is superb. The camera work, the history, the narration, and editing ---- all of it ---- are deserving of some kind of award. Mahalo - thank you!
Hi John - This is an excellent documentary of the Nevada Northern ....... very professionally done! I really enjoyed watching it and you are to be commended for creating this superb video. Thank you very much! Mike
In 1996, I flew to Nevada from Alabama with my father to rebuild the #40. I was 15 years old. I drove all the way from Vegas to Ely, which was the most driving I had done at one time at that time.
Mi tute konsentas pri tio. Dankon pro dividado. I totally agree with that. Thank you for sharing. Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec cela. Merci pour le partage.
John, you have produced a top-notch video here! This may be your best work yet. Excellent photography, videography, narration, editing and your usual high production value all are show-cased in this fine effort.
Wow! Absolutely fantastic! I am so glad I finally got a chance to watch this right through. I can't imagine how much work would have went into this. Congratulations on an absolute beautiful film! Ben
Great video! I live in Reno and have had the opportunity to ride the steam train a couple of times - most recently this past July. Now I'm anxious to get out to Ely again. Thank you very much, John!
Thanks for the crystal clear and educational videos you make. I wish I could be with you to the see these old locomotives and ride them. In the far background there appears to be a Big foot running across the track! At 14:38-15:05. min.
John, another great railroad video. Lots of history, wonderful personalities, great camera work. Thanks so much for preserving the history of a great railroad!!! Dean from Minnesota
I would have liked to see where on the excursion route, and how, the locomotive switched from one side of the passenger cars, to the back of the caboose.🤔
Nevada is fortunant that it was remote for so long and still retains a lot of it's western culture. I lived there a while and regret leaving. Ely is far enough east that it shouldn't be affected by California's over population any time soon. There is some intelegence at work there presurving the history there.

Just had a cab ride in #81, two weeks ago. This excellent video filled in many of the gaps in my understanding of the history of the NNR. Thumbs up!

Those wig wags need to be adjusted. Perhaps move the detectors a hundred feet up the line? Safety First!
