SKIDDER LOG TRUCK.... TANGLED UP!!!

- Skidder log truck tangled up!! Skidder log truck fail! Logging fail! skidder fail!! lol Whatever you want to call it!! The log truck and the cat skidder got in a little trouble.....the most amazing part...skidder didn't hurt the log truck or the skidder at all!! The kenworth log truck blew a couple yokes and came back down the hill while Paul was going around front to start to pull in the truck. That's when the log truck came down the hill hitting the skidder! Log truck is broke down so we had to pull the kenworth out of the way to get some chip vans in there.We had to get the other Cat 535D skidder to pull the kenworth out of the way so Paul's skidder untangled!! Just glad no one got hurt!! Stay safe out there loggers!!

I hope you pay that driver well cause there ain't no way I would drive that rig up and down the highway and I have driven some doozies! If he has to wrangle that thing he earns his pay...... Clunking is either power divider or drive shaft. Thank goodness it happened in the woods and not at some intersection or going up a hill on the highway. Good save by the skidder. As stated another day in the woods.
I worked at a gravel truck company in the late 90's we had a new driver come to work after he smoked the 3'rd drive shaft his cb handle became (driveshaft) copy!!

Neal's truck parts installs break away driveshafts you should look into getting one. They have 3 shear bolts
Cheaper to fix the Drive Shaft than an Axle or Ring & Pinion.

That was nearly a major, major problem but at least the skidder stopped the roll back getting out of control and no damage somehow caused to the skidder. However I bet some clean underwear was needed by a few folks!!

Greed broke that drive shaft, one truck straining to do the work of two heavy trucks.
yeah i thinking a shaft hearing that clanking. well at least one skidder had enough pull to clear pauley otherwise could you have turned the skidder to the left to push the center clear than back up the skidder

Sounded like a driveshaft ringing and flopping about. Short shaft probably. Maybe Pauley learned something about the blind side, betcha. You always get the attention of the other guy. Cardinal rule with equipment, least with me it is. Live and learn and nobody was hgurt and nothing more to fix than was wrong to start with. Are those tires supposed to be bald on that tractor and trailer? Also that tractor is really pulling a lot of weight, getting the maximum usage out of that engine and drive train for sure.

ouch. Big loads can be hard in rigging.... Got lucky with the skidder, probably tough to get to with all the drop axles. Another day logging, at least it isnt raining.

WOW. now that is as close to a disaster as you can get with out having one. you guys need to by some lottery tickets. What is that box on the back of the trucks loader, looks too high for a chain box and not quite right to be a hyd cooler ? keeping on chipping.

yes I know but they should have been used to hold some of that weight that obviously is too much for the axles.....thats why they r there....to be used.....lol
