Great performance! I love it!! George Martin, the Beatles producer, included “I Am The Walrus” on his 1998 “In My Life” album. From the album’s liner notes, George Martin shared the following account: “Let’s face it, George,” John once said, “I don’t expect to walk into a bar in Spain and hear someone whistling ‘I Am The Walrus’.” He knew it wasn’t exactly easy listening. --- I think it’s safe to say that this choir exceeded John Lennon’s expectations. 😅
that was effing superb. I can only imagine how much practice that took and what a brilliant rearrangement. Thank you Northamptones. I'd love to one day participate in something like this
The earth is over a billion years old and I was blessed to have witnessed the Beatles from the very beginning. And I'm talking the Cavern Club and their time in Hamburg Germany.
Of the millions of us who were blessed with seeing them on Jack Parr and Ed Sullivan, the elite fans, such as yourself, hold a special place in history. Have you ever considered writing a memoir of your experience seeing the fab four before they got famous? I'd read it. Thanks for sharing.
@LDBrownArt I met Astrid and Stu. In Hamburg we would meet the lads after their gig and spill a few pints at the pubs. Very down to earth boys they were. I'll cherish the memories until my last breath.
Just caught this in my feed. Belated congratulations on a wonderful and difficult job. You are all very talented, and I hope you have parlayed this experience to have success in your lives.
It starts out as "Oompah oompah, stick it up your jumpa," as heard here, then switches to "Got one, got one, everybody's got one." It's very clear on the isolated tracks which you can hear on TH-cam.
@@robertoc2485 No, but it was good I would whittle down to everyone who is serious into two groups each with drummers, bass and guitars and start writing. If you have talent, all you need then is sweat & a willingness to stay together. Oh yea, hit the folks up for equip. $$$.
And, to think. I was worried about the younger generation! If Global Warming and Trump turn us all into yellow matter custard, you delightful kids will pick up my spirits whilst I sink intoour communal mire. Thanks so much for your effort, you have captured the essence of the song better than any other rendition I know. -Porgy Tirebiter. (Still waiting for a pizza to go.)

How true those words are, even today.
It has to be one of the hardest songs to perform A Capella, but they did a great job. Was it for a competition, if so they deserved first prize.
You guys were awesome
i happened upon this by chance and was entranced -they are Very Good- Lennon would love it!As i do,well done toyou all.
So, so good! Actually this is GREAT!

That was very well done, and very cool!
Simply, WOW.
Thank you! I was a kid when I first heard this song in 1967. It was like hearing it for the first time!
The phrase at the end is "everybody's got one", repeated. The original ended with an excerpt from Act IV of a BBC radio production of "King Lear".

John also loves this rendition, he told me the other day.

Now you should add in the creepy backwards message “Ha ha! Paul is dead!”
Ouch
