Hey guys! You know I’m crazy about the movie cars, in particular the highly detailed ones. Autoworld Silver Screen Machines makes excellent quality, So when I seen the 1/18 Bluesmobile at Nicecardiecast in Quebec for a good price, seen it includes the resin figure likenesses Of Jake and Elwood, I had to have one! So let’s check it out! Will it fit the new cabinet? We will see!
Fun Fact: The Bluesmobile bears an Illinois license plate reading "BDR 529", a tribute to the Black Diamond Riders motorcycle club of Toronto, Canada.

Thanks for the videos :) I think you´re doing a great job! I started collecting when Covid struck, and i mostly collect movie/TV cars, and famous race cars in 1:18 scale. It´s fun to own a piece of history, and they make awesome conversation pieces:)
Anyways, the hobby got out of hand fast, and i now have a massive collection.
I also Always try to get the Best version of each model. I´ve now had, and currently have, different versions of ERTL, Johnny Lightning, Joyride, Racing Champions, Tomy, RC2, American Muscle, Auto World, and so on... They are All from the same castings! Auto World has made a lot of very nice models. But most of the Nice ones are from ERTL Authentics molds!
The "Silver screen machines" are nice, but Auto World have cut cost, and doubled the price, on many of their "New releases"!
Take the Bluesmobile for example. You probably got Super-excited over the figures, right!? cool! Well then, take a closer look at the car. All Monacos made by ERTL/Auto World have the exakt same door miss-alignment problems. (same casting!)
-It looks brand New under the hood, when it should be dirty. The search-light is missing from the A-pillar, and the middle D in the DODGE emblem on the trunk should also be missing, etc. :(
Those things bothered me enough to not get the new release.They did get the paint on the horn/speaker right though. :)
The James Bond Lotus Esprit is the same. Tail lights are now just a cheap sticker, instead of molded lenses, etc.
Screen accurate? Mja.. Just Cheaper made, -sadly.
I´m not trying to be an A-hole here. Just letting everyone know that Auto World are kinda ripping you off!

My friend! Wow I just uploaded a video about that tonight explaining the ERTL Authentics castings like the silver screen general Lee used. Glen just got a Greenlight bullit 1/18 charger not long ago. We opened it on video because I said “hmmm it says Autoworld on a Greenlight box?” Turned out it was the ERTL Authentics casting! Beautiful with the hood hinges and rotating drive shaft! The video tonight I compare the original ERTL bullit charger with the Greenlight one that uses the ERTL authentic casting! Thanks for watching my friend
