I would also urge people who intend to visit Mecca and Medina to check with the hotel they intend to stay at if they require you to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Do this before you book the hotel. I visited Jeddah and Medina in June but had to cancel my hotels in Mecca and Medina due to them requiring guests to be double vaccinated. I used Airbnb for my stay in Medina in the end. I really hope that they lift the vaccine requirement for the hotels in the holy cities as I would like to visit Mecca in November, insha'Allah.

I've been there in November for Umrah. Security didn't allow me to carry my North American standard hand luggage and check in luggage. They'd let me carry the hand luggage but put my bigger one in cargo which arrives a day later on a van.

I will be doing a video on this. BUt I have an article on the Haramain train in the description. Makkah station is the one from the airport. There is a free bus to Haram from station. Nusuk shows only 3 weeks in advance.

You will need to speak with an Umrah agent for this as on Umrah visa you have more restrictions.

The airport is just across the terminal. Very easy. About 5min walk. The entrance is opposite the taxi rank.
