I remember the very first time I played this sequence and getting to fight all those goons...and then Saejima just straight up tears that massive pipe off the wall and flattens dozens of them with it. I mean, I already knew Saejima was a beast from Yakuza 4, but that was just crazy. And it's even funnier with him saying before how he wasn't going to kill them, but they were going to wish they were dead by the time he was done. I guess getting bowled over by a massive pipe will do that.
To be fair though, anybody who had their arm stomped that fucking badly would probably have passed out due to the pain. But yeah, that has become one of the most annoying tropes in the series for me.
Personally, I would have never thought he had a gun, in fact I think that is stupid that he has his a personal weapon If he had one of the guards’ weapon, I wouldn’t have a problem
Man, Yakuza 5 really went down the road of a pseudo-Dynasty Warriors type game with these types of battles. Not complaining though, these fights are close to being my favourite in the series, next to the Tojo HQ escape in 0, Mad Dog rampage and the Saejima vs the ENTIRE Majima family fight in 4.
He didn't fight the entire family in 4. Many members lined the streets of Kamourocho to obscure Saejima from the police when he walked to the batting centre with Majima.
I really want a Long Battle where one of the main characters is about to do something crazy like at 3:50, but all the enemies collectively sh*t themselves and just run away. To make it better, you get a zoom-in on your guy looking disappointed
The Majima QTE in 4 and 5, where Saejima just isn't having any of his shit and grabs him while he's spinning in the air, is great for a similiar reason. That little confused "ara?" before he gets his head smashed gets me every time.
Saejima is pretty broken in ryu ga gotoku 5 man he's so Op a few charged rush combos and upgrades and he's even more powerful than his Ryu Ga Gotoku 4 counterpart tbh what's your answer who's the most broken Character from Ryu Ga Gotoku 0 zero to 6 a Tbh question
Yeah. Definitely Y0's Legend styles. They're movesets pretty limited compared to the other styles but they can be levelled up indefinitely, allowing you to basically oneshot every single type of enemy in the game. Though if we're talking about styles that overpowered by themselves, it would be the Gun style from Ishin. It is far too easy to zone the enemies out and the rush combos can basically hit everything in front of you.
@Abdulaziz Mari I'd say DoD over Mad Dog. Mad Dog's only real appeals are Mad Dog Maul and Demonfire Counter. DoD has double combo finishers to break guards, can pick people up from the ground, has TWO different neutral stance Heat Actions, a 3-tier counterattack set, AND has the finisher-to-throw ability. DoD honestly felt like cheating a lot of the time.

Saejima is a lot faster in 5 than 4 no not because it’s remastered but because it’s true
Esp with Hercule spirit. With a full heat bar he go YEEEAH ORAA all day long
He’s more stronger in 4 he can take out enemies in like 12 seconds that’s because well attacks were strong in Y4
