If you wanted to make a propeller clock with an LED strip of, say, 32 LEDs, you would need to send colour information to 32 LEDs, 60 times per rotation. If you were rotating it at 900 RPM (15 RPS, or 1 rotation every 66.7 mS), giving 1.111 mS per minute-dot position. You would need to service 32 LEDs once every 1.111 mS, or 1 LED every 34.7 uS. Assuming that the LED strip needs 24 bits per LED, we have to send 691 kb/sec down the LED strip, or if the LED strip requires 48 bits per LED, we need to send 921.6 kb/sec to the strip - almost 1 mb/S.
I think I got that all right, but please check me.
Given that the chip has to do more than one instruction for each LED, do you think that the Nano would be able to handle that?I note that your "RGB display is at a very slow rotatrion rate, and the final Day-of-week, time disp[lay is a static photo.
