Okay I've Samsung Refrigerator I don't that black & white coil next to the compressor. We bought the floor model. It's 14 years old now. An not getting cold for the freezer.
probably low on freon.......the heaters rub a hole in the condenser. (tiny one) and ususally once you fill it up to about 2 lbs pressure it is good for a year or so till it leaks out again. Pretty easy to fix.
Please do not buy any Samsung refrigerator i have refrigerator little over three year old nothing but trouble if you still want to buy Samsung appliance get extended warranty i was big fan of Samsung.

thanks for making this. how did the tech know that it wasnt just low on refrigerant? also, there appears to be some sort of solenoid valve in the liquid line. does that divert refrigerant to individual evaporators?
our Samsung has leaks by the condenser. we had to put R600a in it. we used the gauges and our fix-it guy said we needed the gauge to 0 on the outside reading, anyways we were a little short of our goal and are waiting for more cans of isobutane. the refrigerator is working and the deli draw is working but the freezer is not. Can it be because we are still low on R600a isobutane ??
Also, how can we seal the leaks?? the joints that are by the condenser all leak. they are not solder joints but crimped joints.
@@DyAnnJacobs yes. It’s became you’re low that the temps are wrong. I’ve been recharging mine every three weeks for a year now with 134a. Piece of shite
thanks ,replaced compressor and filter. Freon was critical had to put the right amount to work.
I have GE model PFSS6PK... which exactly same design and same problems that you experienced. Compressor is making low hum noise and freezer section is not cold. After add some extra freon to it... BOOM...it is working again. So, do not discard your refrigerator yet. Hope this help someone searching for extra opinions.

Well you may be absolutely right but the compressor sounds like it is low on Freon. You can verify that by placing a process tube on the compressor so you can check the pressure.....that will determine if it is an inefficient compressor or a leak. Pressure and amp draw will determine what the problem is with the compressor. Always unplug first because that will solve a lot of issues with the control board, sensors and function.
I found the computer was only sending 185v when it should be 240V the compressor was running but not freezing

I bought Samsung refrigerator with model of RF263BE. After 2~3 years, the freezer stop working, thought the temperature showed -19oC, but actually temperature is ~5oC. All the frozen food turned to soft. Called Samsung service, very slow response. Still waiting for service. One thing for sure, it was a bad purchase. stay away from samsung refrigerator.

My fridge just did the same.
Found that the twin cooling systems have a three way valve that cycles like a zone controller to direct to only one evaporator at a time. It's a sealed unit with a magnetic coil pulsed to cycle by the computer. Learning the operation theory of the general twin cooling systems to find out more. Suspecting a relay or FET transister failure on the main board.

To all consumers. Don't buy Samsung refrigerators! Do your research first.
We bought a black light flashlight and looked at the joints by the condenser. They are all leaking because they are not soldered but they are crimped. We then bought the isobutane that our refrigerator uses and put it in and the gauge was on the O on the outside reading. everything then worked for about 4 months. now it needs more R600a. your sticker on the inside will tell you which refrigerant it uses. I want to know how to seal these joints ???
After 7 years, nothing but issues. $300 to replace ice maker last month, now the cooler stops once a week. First the fridge and freezer, now just the freezer. I have 1 day off a week and it’s spent on this stupid thing. Will not replace with another Samsung
we got the kit to put the isobutane in ours from eBay. we watched youtube and it tells you how to put refrigerant in. the refrigerator sticker will tell which refrigerant goes in it. it does take long once you get the kit.
it is a lot harder to replace a compressor then he thinks but he has one point don't buy samsung
