Thank you. I was looking for the difference between the two, Flexi & CraSy.

Just thought I'd mention that I cured my laddering problem with a suggestion from a class with Cat Bordhi. Work your 1st stitch, and 2nd stitches, then tighten the two stitches by tugging back and forth until the stitch tension matches. I will sometimes re-tug again after the 3rd stitch especially with fine fingering yarn. Love your comments and Addi's new needles. I bought a set of the FlexiFlips but returned them. As my LYS owner says, "they are a solution looking for a problem." Maybe for dedicated DPN or Magic Loop knitters, but I didn't like anything about them.
I switched from DPNs years ago when I spent most of my knitting time in the bleachers with one or another kids activities. Back then we didn't have so many choices and I got really tired of replacing my Brittany needles. A mom from a competing volleyball team was working a sock on 2 16" circulars at a tournament - and I fell in love. Made my daughter stop at my LYS to buy needles on the way home. I never lost another needle, it didn't take a much of a learning curve to get my tension right and I could knit so much faster. I knit top down and did find 2 same size DPNs to hold the stitches made my Kitchener toes neater.
My next great discovery was how much easier it is to knit toe up. I made up a variation of the Turkish wrap CO and with YO increases on each end of each needle, I have no seam and no holes. I'm still perfecting Cat Bordhi's Sweet Tomato Heel but as big heels/ankles seem to run in the family this heel definitely fits most of my sock recipients best. I also like the After-thought heel, especially if I want contrasting cuff, heel, &/or toes.
    Happy knitting all!

Amazing tips Jan! I will definately try the Cat Bordhi technique to avoid ladders next time I use DPNs! I haven't tried her Sweet Tomato Heel yet either but always wanted to. I'm really into 2 at a time magic loop with Judys magic cast on for right now but I know I will change it up in the future! 😊

@@chaosmonkeycreations - if we stop coveting yarn and tools and bags new tricks and techniques I'm guessing that means we're dead, right? ;)

I’m still learning crocheting and not a knitter at all. Don’t think my hands and eyes could handle that 😆
But, what a talent. That’s a beautiful yarn Will make beautiful socks.
Love how knowledgeable you are and that you share your talent and knowledge with us.
    Thanks Ally. 🤗

I just watched a very pink video and to prevent the laddering she kept the back stitches on the needle not on the cord so I will definitely be trying that when my needles arrive. I’m excited to try these👍

Thought I'd check back to let you know: after knitting about 2.25" of a sock cuff using Chiagoo 9" circ., I switched to Crazy trio needles. Wow, what a difference. Now the Crazy trios seem way easier and faster. I much prefer them to the 9". I think it's the slightly longer needle tip (3" on Crazy as opposed to 2" on the Chiagoos). I ordered some Chiaogoo mini twist combo needles to try next. You can put a 3" tip on one side, a 5" cable and 2" tip on the other side.

I tried my 9" circs again and I just can't do it, my hands are too big I think..the Crazy Trio are easier for me too, those Chiagoo twist combos seem really interesting, keep me posted how they work out! 😊

Thanks for this video I just got my addi crazy trio and I was struggling because I didn’t know they had 2 different tips 🤭 then I realised the lace tips are much better to knit with that the normal ends ad they just kept splitting yarn.

I like DPNs (Knitter's Pride Dreamz, 6") and magic loop (Chiao Goo). I bought these Addi Crasy needles, not the Flexi Flips and have a problem with the cords/joins. Two needles are fine but the third one hangs up on the join. I think if the join were perfect, then I could enjoy them more. I agree and think maybe the Flexi Flips would be better for me since I don't like stiff cords. I can still use them to hold stitches for heels when I do heel flap and gusset. It's fun to try new tools and new techniques. My favorites are still the magic loop and DPNs. Thanks for this review and demo.

Thanks Rose...There's nothing worse then a bad join!, and its so hard to find a perfect set of needles..I'm still looking..I like some needles for some projects and not for others etc. No wonder our needle stashes get so big!

Must be a big secret because no one wants to do a video on how to do the cast on these needles Everyone seems to have five inches already done

Hey Sally, Sorry its just easier to demonstrate how the needles perform with a piece already going. An easy method to cast on is to cast on all stitches (usually with long tail) on one needle them slip half on the other needle and join to form a circle. A lot of people cast all stitches on one DPN as well and then slip the stiches to the 3 or 4 needles they need then join in the round.
