This is my idea about avoiding sinking the boat; if you develop a quick inflatable airbags that give more floatation, may be feeling the empty pocket with air sealed tanks welded into the hull plus the airbags filled with a scuba tank you will have enough air to have buoyancy instead of letting sink the boat, im so amazed and wish to have such a great mini boat 👍🏼😎🇵🇷
Unbelievable stuff! Great footage. I have a 10' and 14' miniboat here in the states and run the Rogue and Applegate rivers in Oregon. Our rivers are nice, but have to give your NZ rivers the edge. Hope you guys keep on keepin on!
I think after two sinks and two helicopter missions to pull your boat out of the water. I would suggest putting a back cover over it with Rubber seal so literally it will be a floating buoy and will never sink again.

Inner tube under the bow in ours makes them easier to retrieve and a good foot cushion
