    Making the graphic pictorial idea that the spiritual dimension and our human level here now are in the same image - macro and micro - personal and eternal - was presented so clearly, making the complex obvious to me. This was wisely taught in its simplicity. I am changed for the better by watching this episode. May our Lord God send his blessings on all of you all the time!!❤

    I like that we have free will ...
    It's like "God" knows we are just children.
    It tends to be that when I choose my will over what the will of God wants, I always fall flat on my face. 🤣
    These are great lessons if we learn them.
    How many times have we gone against God's will for us and just gone our own way, followed that, "but I have free will," again and fallen right back down again. Will we ever learn?
    I can imagine God chuckling sometimes, "will these children of mine, ever learn?" 😅
    Yet that arm is always there, always wanting to protect us and lift us up. I get my greatest hugs when I remember just how much we are loved.
    We only have ourselves to blame when we've chosen our own will above what God wants for us.
    Love this channel.
    Feeling grateful that we truly are all together, even if we don't know it, yet.

    Simply amazing, a place in which we dance with the Lord in the highest ecstasy of belonging to the one and only. As this observer looks out through the eyes of the Lord realising that I am nothing and the Lord is all, true humbleness and gratefulness emerges in perfect service. Who am I to think, when true thought is the Lords alone, then I can observe the true magic of Love in action by being the companion and the lover of true greatness and fulfillness. Nothing in me can disturb the harmony in which I vibrate, thoughts are meaningless in such a state, as only love and tranquility remains.

    Brilliant my friend. This explains so much. It’s strange but I know I have always inwardly understood this but I have never been able to put it into words or even visualise these ‘levels’ What is most marvellous of all is that there is an eternal level in which God operates that not only have we no access to but because it is totally God it is completely incorruptible
    There’s a line in a way way old Hymn that we used to sing where it says ‘changed from glory into glory till in Heaven we take our place, till we cast our Crowns before thee, lost in wonder love and praise’
    Or think about where the Bible talks about physical death. Think where it says we will be changed from ‘the corruptible as flesh eventually will decay, wear out and physical life will cease, it won’t be renewed anymore, but then we are changed from the ‘corruptible’ into the non-corruptible.’ Physical death simply moves us to another level.
    Now of course none of us have any proof of this happening to regular everyday human beings but of course we do have Jesus who rose from physical death, for the remission of our sins, and lives now as the Hymn says ‘that death may die.’
    Now fine I’m not going to produce physical evidence of this and even the search for the Historical Jesus comes up a bit short but on the level of spiritual consciousness, on the eternal level, that is beyond human understanding or explanation I don’t so much ‘believe this is true’ but as Carl Jung said ‘I don’t just believe, I know.” Or in the original German ‘„Ich glaube nicht nur, ich weiß.“
    Bless you my friends
    Here’s the Our Father (Vater Unsere) in German. Sometimes I almost have to think this prayer in German for it to mean anything to me. I’ve said it so many times in English it’s become ‘rote’ and it’s like the words have lost their meaning.
    I love the German word ‘Kraft’ for our English ‘power’. It makes me think of ‘crafting something good.’ Or building something lasting, good, kind, true, merciful, beautiful, strong but not over powering. It makes me think of purposeful inclusion, incredible beauty, peace, loving acceptance and such glory.
    Happy Easter
    “There was a time when this prayer had become so common, so off pat, that it lost all meaning. Us Boomers muttered it out in School assemblies, heads bowed we shuffled, twitched, passed notes to each other and our stomachs rumbled while the Head droned this out from the platform.
    We heard it in films, it was even on the Telly now and then, it was said at funerals and weddings and even monarchs coronations but for many of us we could easily have been reciting Humpty Dumpty. Our Church is meeting Monday 3rd of April 2023 and we are going to delve into the Our Father and likely a bit of its history. Magdalen Way Methodist GORLESTON Great Yarmouth
    All welcome to join us .... refreshments too.
    “Vater unser im Himmel, geheiligt werde dein Name. Dein Reich komme Dein Wille geschehe, wie im Himmel, so auf Erden. Unser tägliches Brot gib uns heute. Und vergib uns unsere Schuld, wie auch wir vergeben unseren Schuldigern Und führe uns nicht in Versuchung, sondern erlöse uns von dem Bösen. Denn Dein ist das Reich und die Kraft und die Herrlichkeit in Ewigkeit. Amen.”
    The Lord’s Prayer
    Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
    your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
    on earth as in heaven.
    Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins
    as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation
    but deliver us from evil.
    For the kingdom, the power,
    and the glory are yours
    now and for ever.
    Amen.

      Thanks for sharing these reflections, Tony. Yes, I think it was a great idea of God's to make us unable to access the deepest/highest part of us where God dwells and give us life. That's God's territory, and we shouldn't mess with it!
      I'm intrigued by that German word "Kraft" -- thanks for sharing that, too. Lovely concepts!
      And your comments about the numbing quality of rote recitation of the Lord's prayer -- I think we all fall prey to that. Lovely idea to learn it in a different language, as a way to be more present with the words coming out of our mouth. I'm assuming you've seen our video called "6 Spiritual Powers [Krafte!] of the Lord's Prayer" -- th-cam.com/video/LdppRJ2tWWA/w-d-xo.html. Hope the gathering you mentioned was a fruitful study!

    I've always understood it as layers of our being. The outer layer is our physical body, the next layer is our spirit, and the innermost core of our being is ... something for which I also have no name. My understanding is that we call God "Father" because he is literally the father of our spirits. (I also believe we have a Heavenly Mother as well, but that's a different topic.) But the innermost core of each of us is what could be called a fundamental particle of the universe, something that can neither be created nor destroyed. Anyway, all that aside, I find the discussion of God's connection to that inner core quite fascinating, and I hadn't seen the parallel with the three levels of heaven (Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial). Thank you for the enlightenment!

    Perfect example of Jacobs ladder 🙌🏻
    Love the analogy of the dark and light of the camera, like the pupil of the eye. The more open our hearts, the more light is let in and the more light is also poured out.
    Like the well that never empties.
    The more closed we are, the tighter our eyes are closed and the darker our world can seem. Blind to the light.
    God being the ultimate "something," even before the actual force takes place. Even before the very thought. It's the very essence.
    Thank you for the visual.
    I find I learn so much more if there's visuals.
    I wonder if there is expansion to these levels.
    Like the sun has rays that expand not just in a singular line but like a diamond has many facets and reflects light in many directions, so too does the sun. God has many facets. We only know or can conceive of this hell to heaven and all levels between. I wonder what can be found in another facet. Other life forms maybe. Boggles My mind 😅

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is indeed something from Swedenborg, Ethan. I'm not sure where it comes from (though I could find out), or what the words say, but the picture is the "flying machine" he invented. I'll try to remember to take a closer look at it and get back to you! ~Chara

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  ปีที่แล้ว

      OK @Ethan Miller -- I went into the studio and took a look at that picture on the wall in there. It is the diagram of his flying machine design, with points A, B, C, etc. on the sketch of the machine being explained in all that text. It seems to be in Swedish, not Latin, so I don't know what it actually says. And the handwriting is less careful than the handwriting I've seen in books he was preparing for publication -- so maybe this was a personal sketch of initial ideas. I'm not sure. And it didn't have a reference on it.

    Fascinating! Thank you. A question. If it is God that enables us to believe in God and love God (which makes perfect sense) why doesn't everyone believe in God? Is it that they secretly do, but the conventional understanding of God doesn't make sense to them? Don't worry if you can't answer this -- just floating it... and again, thank you. So interesting.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well Sasha, I (Chara) don't claim to have the answer, but I can share some thoughts! The first thing that comes to mind is the teaching that our individual spiritual freedom is God's highest priority -- "the apple of His eye," says Swedenborg. So though everyone has the capacity to love and believe in God, not everyone exercise that capacity.
      And who knows what all the reasons might be! One Swedenborgian minister once wrote an article called "Ten Good Things About Atheism" -- his point being that there are some very unsettling ideas and false notions about who God is and what religion is about. As you say, it just doesn't make sense to some people. And who knows how religious ideas could have been wrapped up in unhealthy family dynamics, or who knows what. The Lord is with everyone at all times, standing at the door and politely knocking -- but WE get to choose whether we open that door or not.
      So.... Not an answer, but a few ideas to ponder. Blessings to you in all your spiritual pursuits!

    • @sashadence6409
      @sashadence6409 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@offTheLeftEye Thank you Chara. I think a big part of the issue for many today is that atheism is pretty much the default assumption our world runs on-- I mean, education, the media - the government. Especially in the West. By 'atheism' I mean, if God exists, and I guess it's a pretty big 'if' for many -- then God must be extremely important, i.e. maybe even the single most important fact of existence. The fact that his existence is tacitly excised from all education, media and government means it is -- not explicitly but powerfully implied that God doesn't exist and that his existence is relegated therefore to a matter of opinion. that makes him pretty peripheral. I also think this world is so opaque -- and we're so conditioned to regard anything that could be called supernatural as kind of the relic of outdated, uninformed minds -- it's hard to believe in anything other than what is obvious. I know when I met Jesus a looong time ago, he was seriously supernatural - I mean, not, just so not, of this world -- but when I told my dad (who is a geophysicist) he told me teenagers were always having religious experiences. I do know that I believed in him, in his existence that is, before the 'proof' (was for me), i.e. when he turned up, so there does seem to be a need to be open to him, or something. Anyway thanks for replying. Interesting subject.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sashadence6409 Very interesting. So you had a Jesus moment? I do not think many teenagers do. God is patient and if believing in him is complicated by things like our own angry father figure, he is content to be in the background, even until the afterlife. Personally I have never doubted God, and so have not experienced the tacit rejection you talk about. I do trust that God is working behind the scenes whether we believe in him or not.

      Never heard that term, Matt. You may be thinking of "the remnant" (which used to translated "remains")? Dear Curtis, thanks for all of your videos! 🙏😀 They really helped me in many situations! Swedenborg‘s reports are compatible to many near death experiences, but I recently got notice of another type of astral travel/spiritual experiences; astral projection or OBEs (Out of body experiences) in which some people claim to have had experiences in which they learned that we DO reincarnate on the physical level and that after we give up the ego-identification, they are „enlightened“ like Buddha and words, thoughts or images have little relevance, they just ARE if you can say it like that. One in particular; Jurgen Ziewe. I don‘t know how these experiences are compatible, I hope you or someone of your community can give me an answer on that question, because I‘m really confused right now.🤨 Or if this is the wrong place to ask you such a complicated question let me know! Thanks!😄

      Hello Silbersittich -- Other viewers have mentioned Jurgen Ziewe, but I don't think anyone on our team has studied his experience/views. The mission of our channel is to share Swedenborg's experiences and writings, but we certainly aren't experts on ALL theories about spirituality and the afterlife! So you might have to go somewhere else to get more input on him.
      I can share a video we did about Swedenborg's view of reincarnation -- short story, he did not subscribe to the idea. But he DOES believe that we are in a continual spiritual evolution, if you will -- just not one that involves returning to this planet. After our one death, the rest of our growth happens in the spiritual world. So here it is for what it's worth in your pursuits:
      “Do We Reincarnate?” - th-cam.com/video/kVYKEfpnxj0/w-d-xo.html
      And here's a blog post that discusses how Swedenborg's understanding of regeneration in the spiritual world is similar to the idea of reincarnation, which you might be interested to read: www.swedenborg.com/swedenborg-and-reincarnation/
      Sorry I can't be more helpful! If you end up studying it enough to draw some parallels or contrasts, we'd love to hear!

      New to this channel, y.m.v.? The ideas in this video come from the spiritual experiences recorded by Emanuel Swedenborg, a brilliant and accomplished scientist and statesman from Sweden back in the 1700s. In his 50s, he claimed to have been called by Jesus Christ to see directly into the spiritual world, to learn about the nature of God and the nature of the afterlife, just to share that knowledge with the world. He was the first to admit that people would find that very hard to swallow! But we find these ideas helpful while living our life on this plane.
      If you're curious about Swedenborg and his background and credentials, we have a short video called "Who Was Swedenborg?" - th-cam.com/video/HEa0e8AcS78/w-d-xo.html,
      and a longer one called "Was Swedenborg Crazy?" -- th-cam.com/video/K_ZP30NFYf8/w-d-xo.html.
      Whether or not these ideas resonate with you, we wish you well on your spiritual journey.

    Actually, there are things that don't match. Swedenborg says we'll meet our family and friends in the afterlife. But obviously, all of our family and friends won't be in the same level of heaven. Not to mention the ones who'll go to hell. If these levels are non continuous, how are we supposed to meet all of them? Something doesn't add up.

      If you don't believe in life after death, then you believe God just created this shit over here to see the wicked doing good and the inocent paying the price. By the way, I don't believe exactly like Swedenborg. I think his theology is too complicated. You owe something to someone, you're gonna pay. You got losses and/or have to have your work on Earth paid, you'll get your salary. That's all we need to know about life after death.

      I hear you, Torben. And other horrific things keep happening. It's an unsatisfactory answer, I know, but Mr. E's comment kind of says it -- Our spiritual freedom is God's highest priority, and he cannot break his own rules to move the chess pieces of the world around. It's hard to balance with the concept of Divine guidance.
      If you're interested, we did an 8-part series on God and Evil. Let me know if you'd like the link. Again, it's not the answer we all want, but it has some good food for thought.

    How do we get invited to these other dimensions? I remember Neem Karoli Baba said something to the effect that the guru gives you grace. In some NDEs people are given grace and take the understanding with them.
    I think it's interesting that no one can tell a ready person from another because in their own words people will say they were unkind and making bad choices and suddenly raised to a new understanding that made them unrecognizable to their peers.
    Leveling up.

      Leveling up, IRWU. I think maybe the "invitation" is just the constant possibility of choosing to love people more and hurt people less, and finding ways to be of service to those around us. In Swedenborgian terms, anyway!
