Luis. Great video! It was cool to see the bowling with the commentary in the background. Mixing it up with guests keeps the videos different. The young folks definitely have an advantage having access to this information. I had to figure this stuff out on my own, just bowling anywhere and everywhere i could over the past 40 years in leagues, tournaments, and open bowling.
Great video! How similar is using a short pin ball to using urethane? It is good to see the difference between you, agreat advanced bowler and the Pro.
Short pin will read a bit earlier because of reactive resin and will potentially create more shape but will allow the ball to slow down earlier and control the pocket.
Great video, filled with great info… looking forward to seeing more videos like this… what is Chads last name interested in seeing more videos of him bowling
5:20 Ehh, I kinda disagree with Luis on that. The 50' shots where nothing moves and the 33' shots where everything moves are typically super duper low scoring environments to where even if you are close to even, you'll at least cash. The very first PBA regional I bowled at was a non-champion event which was contested on Cheetah (the "new" Cheetah, not the super duper high scoring Cheetah). Cut to match play? -50 or so (across eight games). Cut to cash? Think it was -90. This means that if you run a 4-5 strikes and only open once a game, you're cashing. That's doable with just throwing a spare ball straight at the rack...if you're accurate enough. Medium length stuff is usually a scorefest.
Lius, trying to keep the ball in front is well and good but what happens if you miss in is key. If the miss in results in an unmakeable then that may not be the smart play.
Even leaving an EASY spare doesn't mean you have a good look. We're at a point in bowling where scores are incredibly high. Shooting a 190 or 200 isn't enough in most environments. Especially on tour.
Great video I like hearing from a professional and getting insights.
I appreciate that!
Great video. Chad is really knowledgeable and I like how easy he makes bowling look loved the educational material and Chad working with you
Couldn't agree more!

I can kinda see what you mean by that!

!Q Tour Solid all day!
Hmm. I woulda thought for Luis to ball up to battle that urethane carry down. But again it all depends on what the lane is giving you.
Exactly!
