Row 1 38 (number depends on how long hat will be)single Crochet in back look only, then 10 slipstitches and chain 1 and turn Row 2 10 slipstitch only in back loop 38 single crochet only in back loop chain 1 and turn Row 3 38 Single crochet in back loop only,5 slip stitch in back loop only chain 1 and turn Row 4 5 slipstitch only in back loop,38 single crochet only in back loop chain 1 and turn Row 5 38 single crochet only in back loop,10 slipstitch only in back loop chain 1 and turn Row 6 10 slipstitch in back loop only,38 single crochet only in back loop Repeat rows 1-6 for required number of rows
The only thing that really changes is the slipstitches So you'll need to repeat 10-10 then 5-5 then again 10-10, 5-5... Until you reach the size that you want
I love this hat! But I am so pleased I watched the tutorial to the end before attempting to make it . Maybe a few discrepancies between what you are physically doing and the written words? So I have a few questions. It says 3.5mm hook, you show a 4.5mm? You show doing sc at the end of rows 2, 4 and 6 but it says back loop only in all sc? Should it be repeat rows 1-6 so the top is not so dense, or do you repeat rows 3-6 to keep the pattern constant? Thanks in advance for your help.
Fabulous pattern. I’m going back slowly to see what the measurement of the width of the hat is. I can’t find it, maybe I keep missing it. Please let me know what that measurement is. Thanks so much for any info and also for sharing this awesome pattern.
where can I find the written pattern so I don't have to refer to video when starting or stopping due to interruptions? also, what gauge of yarn are you using?
Great job I really enjoyed the tutorial simple and easy, but how can I make one with crocodile stitch ir waffle stitch easy like this beanie thank you so very much
Hi I need help the first 4 rows were normal but after that I have 36 single crochet instead of 38 I need to know wether it will look normal or different
I am a beginner crocheter. Is the recommended hook size 4.5 or 3.5. On the top right it shows 3.5 and in your video you are using a 4.5. Thank you so much.
So for the slip stitches it starts off as 10-10-5-5-10-10 then it says to repeat so does it then go 10-10-5-5-10-10-10-10-5-5 and so on or 10-10-5-5-10-10-5-5ect
I thought that too! I have just commented a couple of questions. I think perhaps by repeating rows 1-6 the top will not be so dense, but I was considering doing repeats of rows 3-6? I will wait and see before making this.
What ply is this yarn ? It looks DK but don't want to start until I know. Also is the hook size 3.5 mm or 4.5 mm, you are using 4.5mm but says on screen 3.5mm. Thanks. 😊
Okay the tutorial is very helpful but do I do 2 10 slip sttiches then 2 5 slip stitches then back to 2 10 then repeat? What number of slip stiches does it end with and how many rows will there be? Im kind of confused
Please help me with the type of yarn I should use. I'm a beginner and I like acrylic yarns but please can someone recommend other good ones.. thank you
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG PLEASE? I repeat the Rows 1-6 pattern but the top edge keeps getting shorter (yes, I'm doing the 5-10 slip stitches in each direction). I really like how this pattern removes bulk from the crown so really would appreciate any tips. Thanks!
First of all, chain 49. Then follow the same pattern 38 sc and 10ss, chain 1 and turn and make it loose. (Specially the slip stitch must be very lose). I hope it will work then.
I'm a beginner and i finish the beanie in like 3 days if i work on it for a few hours a day, just because I'm slower than someone who's used to crocheting, so give it 5 days just to be sure if you're a beginner like me
Hello! Thank you for sharing :) I'm a beginner at this and I have a very silly question. I keep having to re-do the first row because every I do it I somehow end up with one less stitch :( I've tried to go slow and count as I go but I keep missing one. Do you have any advice for me to prevent this? I'm skipping the first stitch when starting row one. Do I add a new stick somewhere to make up for that? Please let me know if you can. Thank you!
I got the same problem. I would do 10 slip stitch and then 1 chain, and do ten back. the problem was the tenth stitch I ended with would actually be the first for the second row once i added the chain. So Im doing 10 slip stich, 1 chain and turn, the 9 slipstitch, so the next row isnt offset. for the next row, i do 5 slipstitch, 1 chain and turn, then go back on top with four.
😂😂 Haaa Hana now, have you search or make enquiry... I have been selling crochet accessories for almost 8 years now.. Crafties store where I got my first ergonomic crochet hook had been operating for more than 20 years.
Do you have the measurements for the square? I wanted to know how long it has to be to because my yarn is probably different and it won't be the same length as your stitches so i would just follow the size in cm
i have a doubt at the end of 3rd row i did 5 slip nots and started 4th row so do i have to do the same in my 9th and 15th row and so on becoz u said to continue row 1 to 6 again
Row 1
38 (number depends on how long hat will be)single Crochet in back look only, then 10 slipstitches and chain 1 and turn
Row 2
10 slipstitch only in back loop
38 single crochet only in back loop chain 1 and turn
Row 3
38 Single crochet in back loop only,5 slip stitch in back loop only chain 1 and turn
Row 4
5 slipstitch only in back loop,38 single crochet only in back loop chain 1 and turn
Row 5
38 single crochet only in back loop,10 slipstitch only in back loop chain 1 and turn
Row 6
10 slipstitch in back loop only,38 single crochet only in back loop
Repeat rows 1-6 for required number of rows
Very beginner here, does that mean row number 7 will be exactly like row 1?
The only thing that really changes is the slipstitches
So you'll need to repeat 10-10 then 5-5 then again 10-10, 5-5... Until you reach the size that you want
@@reiihinoso it’s just 10x2 5x2 the whole time? Instead of 10x2 5x2 10x4 5x2 10x4

How refreshing to just watch and follow the pattern listening to music instead of listening someone droning on.
Thank you very much. I'm constantly in doubt about what to do, whether to say something or leave the music

@@maureenwoods3783 same I’m thinking to just repeat 3-6, looks like that’s what they did. Also waiting for an answer before I start!
@@Sardonyx02 I also noticed,, if you start with row 1 there is no ‘sc in back loop only’ for that row, so it would break the pattern 🫤

Make the chain 49 Instead of 48. As you proceed you'll have even numbers. Hope I'm not too late 😊😅
It's easy to miss count the foundation row, that the change, count maybe 20 than u use a marker, like that u won't miss calculate
You might have sorted your problem by now, but if not, are you doing 1 chain stitch at the end of your finished row? 3:05
