    Many different forms of transit.I like the underground metro and the street running trams.But ,I also like the electric trolley bus as they fill a need for clean transport where there's not demand for rails.ETB's seem to be popular all over the world, but not so much in the U.S.,except maybe San Francisco. May I add,a beautiful city,nice transportation systems.Thanks for showing this!

      They are nice but during the summer I didn't feel any air conditioning. Inside is also too narrow for those that are not sitting (like me LOL). Some old people find it difficult to deal with door opening/close etc.

    Tim, at one point there is a bit of video of the tramlines which went down in a traffic underpass, but these have been cut off and replaced with a single track section on the surface. Do you know anything about this at all?

      TLDR:Its a "temporary" (read permanent) solution.
      There were two tram lines going in that underpass and another two going on the boulevard to which this "solution" is connected. The first two were diverted through there because of the closing of the main street for all kinds of traffic. The second pair were closed because of the metro system. Those trams were connecting five points in the city, so...they merged the lines into two tram lines, covering four points and the last of the five points is connected to the transit system in 2019 by an elongation of trolleybus line.

    Excellent video. Doesn't the city have any diesel buses or did you just concentrate on the trams and trolleys etc.?

    • @timosha21
      @timosha21  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      time was very short so the concentration was more on my favorite modes of transit: trolleybuses, trams, and metros :)

      Ah that explains the lack of them. Thank-you.

      There are a lot of bus lines, both new and old models are active, the new are excellent (in white colour), the old ones are generally green. I should take a look at the exact models on Jan 2, LOL.

    I VISITED THERE 3 times TILL 2018 AND HAD TO VALIDATE THE DAILY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TICKET AGAIN AND AGAIN. IS IT AN ADDITIONAL SOVIET CHARACTARISTIC OF THIS CITY?

      Все дело в истории ... некоторое время назад троллейбусы были в основном ЗИУ10 и Икарус 280Т. Они были окрашены в синий цвет с желтой линией, а автобусы - в красный с черной линией. Так как мы заказываем новые трамваи и троллейбусы, они сохраняют цвета электротранспорт. Автобусы же - покупаются любого цвета (дешевле). у нас есть оранжевые, белые, желтые, зеленые; Турецкие, Китайские, Немецкие и некоторые старые автобусы куплены в Европе.
