If you don’t think Monty keeps receipts, just go back and watch every touch he had in the first game against DaBears. Every yard was a fu Chicago! He’s our dog now!

I think everyone respects d mo but jamhyrr is just different. Hes a caliber of athlete thats rarely seen

I love DMont's attitude. He is the epitome of what Brad and Dan have been looking for in character and team first. Anyone who thinks that kind of stuff doesn't matter is being proven wrong right now.

You cannot find or name a better backfield in the NFL! I love we have Montgomery! We are lucky to have him. Most of the time last season it was Monty starting and getting the machine going, with fast starts and moving the chains. Monty will help keep Gibbs healthy.
Um. Yes you can. SF has a better backfield. Yep. I’d trade both for one. Atlanta too (they had 2 guys close in yards by miles away in OL and QB). Miami has a better backfield. The Ravens did and showed it by destroying the lions in every facet of the game.

Most dynamic RB duo in the league and the health aspect is huge.. our D is stout w the backfield getting an upgrade and longevity of being able to establish the run with our receiving core… sun god, LaGoata, DPJ, Jamo… I think we’re gunna be so damn good

I love both of our guys! They thrive off off one another! I honestly don't remember a game that both of them didn't have good games simultaneously. Only a few maybe.

David Montgomery is my favorite Lion and such a class act. I always feel like he is the "Rodney Dangerfield" of running backs as he seems to get no respect and over-looked so often, - yet is a great team player. He & Gibbs are like Thunder & Lightening out there and the best tandem in football.
Having tow different types of effectiveRBs is incredibly valuable. It’s a big part of the offense! Love the way they both run!

Monty is one of my top 5 favorite people on the lions. He is such a dawg.
It’s like Corum and Edwards on Michigan exactly the same a real team cares about each other and supports each other no matter what! The players are happier for each other then they are when they do it themselves! That is a real team and why Michigans culture is so great because the Lions have the same culture now!

Might see both Montgomery and Gibbs hit the 1k rushing this season.
Monty should get 60% of the load. I've watched almost every play of both before coming to the Lions and Monty can give the Lions much more with more while Gibbs can give more with less. Sometimes Gibbs will be hot so 70/30 split. The same for Monty. Gibbs has only used 1/3rd of what I've seen him do in college. I believe he and Monty took time learning the offense. Hopefully, we are about to learn who they are!

Gibbs and Montgomery complimet each other soooo very well. I am trying to figure a better duo from the past and I am not coming up with much. Man, and the line they are behind, whew! Montgomery is such a damned fierce junkyard dog
I see it this way and I’ve posted before. They are like Trammel and Whitaker or Datsyuk and Zetterberg. A fantastic duo who is going to destroy teams while giving us endless highlights.

I think they need to put both of them on the field at the same time and throw to Montgomery out of the backfield as well. I think it would drive the other team insane trying to defend that.
We need them both and are lucky to have them. Don’t sleep on DMo though! He showed last year he can also take it to the house!
David Montgomery also has hands he can also catch the ball out the backfield it’s not like he’s just a power back or a goal line back look at his numbers in Chicago monty can easily have 13 hundred yards rushing and 500 yards receiving
D-Mont can catch out of the backfield too. I’m a huge fan of both. Fresh guy in there at all times. Also, if one gets dinged up a bit the other can take on a little more in that game.

All I know is if they would’ve ran Monty at least 15 times in the second half of the NFC championship game, they would have been in the Super Bowl or won the Super Bowl!

Jahmyr will add a couple of years to Monte's productivity.
Montgomery is a fine between the Ts back. He isn’t going to lose you yardage. Gibbs is better than Abdullah but not Kamara, I don’t get that comparison
Gibbs and Kamara had comparable rush yards as a rookie. Kamara dismantles Gibbs when you look at what he did as a rookie. He had 80 catches and 800+ yards plus 4 more TDs. He won OROY and has truly maintained a high level of play through his career.
Gibbs was a ridiculously slow starter. Then came on strong when the rest of the offense worked. He will be only as good as the line and his thunder spelling him.
The room is good, not great. When you couple it with the passing game, it works. So it doesn’t really matter.
