Without sounding like Freddy or Copying him. Tom Chaplin is an astounding stand alone artist. The uniqueness, execution and technique. I'm floored
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
@@markriva4259 I can see that
That`s true!
Jesus! I'm a massive Queen fan and I've not seen or heard this before. Tom is out of this world. If Freddie was watching, I'm sure he'd be smiling.

🙋🏻
I loved the way he did it.
This guy is incredible, Freddie Mercury would be so proud….
Це божественно.
I'm not sure)))
he would be for sure

Tom's vocals are out of this world!
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
My god why didn't they take Tom on instead of Adam Lambert. He's so much better
Probably since he is part of another band 😅 (KEANE)
Good grief, I’ve never even seen this.
Absolutely fantastic. Are my eyes and ears deceiving me?
Bravo Mr Chaplin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
He sounds like Freddy. Great job by Chapin.
They should tour with this guy.

This video should have millions and millions of views. Just incredible! The Chosen One ☝️
Damn, he really nailed it...nice to see an excellent performance after all these years

Tom Chaplin brings his own sheer magic to this great Queen song.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
"Do what you want with my music just don't make it boring darling."
-Freddie Mercury
Tom you did not disappoint!!
Tom toured with the BBC orchestra doing Queen covers was Brilliant
Most relaxed and smiley I’ve seen Tom Chaplin on stage ……. ever
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
I saw Keane live twice back in Chicago for their first and second album. Tom’s voice is amazing live and pitch perfect. After watching this song I’ve become obsessed with this underrated Queen song.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
I never get tired of watching this performance. Tom Chaplin is perfect! He is an excellent singer! Not only does he have a wonderful voice, but he also performed the song perfectly. However, it's funny to watch the English being so English; all of them sitting quietly in their chairs. If this show were in Brazil, people would stand up and dance, letting out their emotions and ecstasy, and applaud the singer and the band with immense enthusiasm, shouting 'bravo, bravo, bravo!'
Me too. I just keep coming back. It's sublime. I want this played at my brief and otherwise completely irreverent funeral :)
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
I think this is the best interpretation of this song after Freddie. Amazing!
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
what a lovely surprise to find this
This is great! I was in Rock in Rio Queen live Concert in 1985. This song remembers me that time! Great voice! Amazing. Regards from Brazil.
Great performance. Tom really respectful of the studio version of the song.
Sensational. No one can replace Freddie but he would be so proud of. Tom
For God's sake, this is superb! Long live the Queen!
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
I have no words to express how wonderful it is.
Tom credits Freddie and Queen as a major musical influence, his tone is very similar to Freddie’s and he’s admired and covered a few Queen songs in the past, Under Pressure being one of my favourites. He always does his best to do Queen songs justice
I just love Tom's face when he is playing air guitar during Brian's guitar solo!
Like a child in a candy shop 🍬🍭👑🎸

Tom did a phenomenal job job singing this song--just love him !!!

Tom absolutely nails this. Wow.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
My favourite male singer. I'm not surprised he nailed this tbh. He's one on the most underrated singers of all time...I saw him last November at the Sage In Newcastle with his solo album, His voice is just angelic.
OMG..... This guy is amazing
Tom is perfect for Queen Band!❤
No vídeo dessa música tem uns símbolo estranho 😮.
OMG !!! what a superb rendition by Tom Chaplin, absolutely smashed a truly difficult song to sing! Freddie would be proud of that, I'm sure, amazing...👏👏👏👏
Just came across this and couldn't believe how much he is able to sing like Freddy. What a performance
His performance was mind blowing! 🤯✨
This is absolutely THE Best tribute to this in 1984 released track, written by Freddie himself. Kuddos to mr. Chaplin.
Nobody could replace Freddie but this is by far the best performance by Queen I have seen or heard since his death. It is a shame Tom has not appeared with them more. His vocals and stage presence are about as good as it gets.
You can see how Tom is a great Queen fan. The performance was flawless.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
Tom's voice is amazing.
WOW! I think this is one Queens more underrated hits; a powerful and melancholy song and this guy smashes it!
it's the lead singer of Keane (Somewhere only we know). He's an amazing singer!
He’s a good singer but not a patch on Freddie. This is one of my absolute favorites and he had nothing of Freddie’s flamboyant performance. Sorry. Just my humble opinion. Freddie was unique.
@@melaniesingh7208 duh... 🙄 🙄 🙄
I said he did a good rendition, not that he was better than Freddie... that would be impossible!
@Asheanae Big fan of Freddie’s and obviously over protective. Lol
🙏🎵🎶✨🪽
I would take this song over Another One Bites The Dust and We Will Rock You anytime of the day.
Tom Chaplin has an incredible live voice, I was lucky enough to see him on tour singing Queen songs and with Keane, amazing.
Hello Nicola, how are you doing

I think that’s the new voice. And Freddie would approve. Sorry but Adam can’t stand up against that voice and talent. Tom is doing it too f*ing perfect

Tom Chaplin, you are georgios!!!! This song... I am imaging you , Freddie and this great musicians together, on the scene! Be will be great!
La mejor versión que he escuchado hasta ahora. Freddie estaria aplaudiendo de pie.
Una de las canciones mas hermosas de Freddie, se nota que la escribió con el corazón, reflejando lo que sentía en ese momento.
Toms a master in his profession, totally awesome. He proper nails this!!!!🤘🏻
Tom has a great voice. 👍👍👍
Brilliant Tom! Best rendition of a Queen song I’ve ever seen.
This is second, only beaten by George Michael’s ‘Somebody to Love’ at Freddie’s tribute.
Es verdad que es imposible reemplazar a fredy mercuri pero este artista tiene su estilo y lo hace muy bien y de la banda original que se puede decir más que son magistrales.
@@joethelion6016 I think they're on a par with each other for different reasons... Tom's vocal strength and accuracy on this was out of this world and you could fool 9 out of 10 people that this WAS Freddie.
Nobody can sing this song with the emotion of the composer. However ...... technically this performance is absolutely SPOT ON.
I have more affinity with George Michael because I was at Wembley Live Aid 1985 and watched him *and* Queen perform that day. It's very nostalgic for me, Freddie loved George's voice.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
Queen is the best & Tom Chaplin has an amazing voice for this song. Master performance🌟
Perfect performance of Tom Chaplin. Freddie must be pleased.
Beautiful song ❤❤❤beautiful voice tom
Tom Chaplin ❤ Outstanding.
Hi Helen, how are you
What a vocal range Tom. Absolutely loved it!
Beautiful voice
How awful life would be without music ❤💕❤
I love everything about this performance
As a technical singer, Mr Chaplin outshines Mr Mercury who tended to avoid the highest notes (Roger would do those) in his live performances, probably understandably to preserve his voice on long tours.
My señor, it's an honor listen to you, you are my best Man ,in phisics AND ese! I Will like yo talk whit hoy, my best regards!! Mariano billan, from argentina!!
No words for the first 20 second of song. Tom Chaplin is the BEST voice of the world. ❤❤
His vocals are the GOAT!

I only saw and heard this performance by Brian May and Roger Taylor today!!! I can only say that it is extraordinary!!!❤
The song performed by Tom Chaplin is marvellous!❤
This show demonstrates the appreciation that the younger generation has for Queen!!!
Queen will live forever in the hearts of those who love them and listen to them and watch them!!!👑❤️❤️❤️❤️
Freddie would be proud
this song is so underrated. wonderful version by Tom.
Wow I didn't knew Tom Chaplin had sung with Queen, this is perfection 😍 my two favourite bands in one 😍 Also, Tom voice is so similar to Freddie's, simply amazing ❤
Brian May clapping for your singing performance must be a wonderful feeling. Tom Chaplin is that good

Oh Dear and then I closed my eyes,,,,,and I could hear and see Freddie. Brilliant Mr. Chaplin....incredible !!!! 💚💚💚💚
as a huge Tom and Keane admirer, I could say, imo, that it's his most majestic performance
Brian May must feel very privileged to be on stage with such a good singer as Tom Chaplin !

One of those performances that you have on repeat throughout the years.
I remember watching and being amazed how much like Freddie he sounded
That was a stunning version..
First time seeing this not a song u see covered much by God its brilliant coming from a massive Queen fan tom u did the king proud 👏❤
I saw keane in Dublin last Monday. Class gig. Still has great voice. I'd love to see him with queen.
He makes me sweat. This guy has unique voice. Bravo!!!
Boy, he’s amazing…such passion. Freddie is hard to emulate but hats off to tom
So smooth, very impressive. Sounds like Freddie
This is the guy they need! WOW! lovely performance!
One of the most underated Queen songs but it will be a love classic
Wow, what a stunning performance! This beautiful song just became so alive again. Tom absolutely nailed it!
This man should be the frontman of queen now !
The voice is outstanding ❤!
Better than Adam lambert
But he was addicted to illegal things and ended up not performing until 2019, but I agree that it's great
@@megakombat8149 true he was an addict, and had gone into rehab more than once, hitting his lower point in 2015, but there are some versions of songs in 2016, when he was doing way better, and he stills sounds great. Plus the things he recorded during lockdown are great too. I mean, the guy by that time would not have been able to tolerate the pressure of touring with Brian and Roger due to his intermitent addiction, but the thing is that even when he was using drugs occassionally, his voice was still great. And when he recovered, he still sounded great. And if Keane took time from each other from 2014 to 2018 approx, when they started recording Cause and Effect, was not only because of Tom, but also because of other issues. Basically, between 2010 and 2019 Tom did sing, apart from that long hiatus in 2015.
@@chris1983charmerYeeep!! Tom is better 😭😍
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
Such a fantastic performance, not many can emulate Freddie and tom did it total justice. Incredible stuff.
Excellent, how did I miss this.
Great voice of Tom Chaplin. 👏🎩
goosebumps, i'm sure that Freddie must be proud seeing this, whereever he is
Absolutely perfect!
Stunning performance
Not enough people are praising how damn close Tom's voice is to Freddie's. It's ridiculously similar. He gets the inflections so right, if they were able to do an AI of Freddie singing with Tom's voice, I'd barely be able to tell the difference ❤
It's perfect. Just like Freddie
🎵🎶🎵✨✨✨🙏
I've always thought they are very similar in tone and power. First few bars of this are just amazing. Managed to see Keane live once and Tom was a great performer. Pretty sure he was a chorister when he was younger.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
Amazing... never heard this before. Tom Chaplin's range is unbelievable
Love tom and in all his performances its like something takes over him and he never fails you watch his face hes so immersed in the performance with such passion thats what makes him so great❤
Tom Chaplin can sing everything.
Tom Chaplin from Keane channels Freddie and McCartney with ease, yet transcends them time and time again.
What an impressive performance. I've seen it several times and I come back regularly. It really works well. Solid and transforming the feelings
Wow, Tom is incredible!🔥
fits perfectly like George in Somebody to love
I'am a big fan of this song. And, God... Brian May must be smiling in his heart... this is felt like Freddy himself
Tom Chaplin is the best of the best🙌 I love his voice so much 🥰
Beautiful song sung by Tom 😊
You know you're good when the whole band applauds and Roger Taylor stands up to do it ⭐️
Tom is seriously good. Cheers mate for a fantastic performance.
He is the one 21st century voice who can do Freddie justice. One of the greatest voices of this century.
He is simply amazing.
Amazing the voice off Tom is beautifal
