The story where the mom took her son’s birthday money that he earned and bought tickets to the show his sister wanted to see instead of his show fills me with so much rage. If that were me in that scenario I know that they wouldn’t get to see the show cause I’d be throwing a tantrum strong enough to shatter the car’s windows.

I'd be like "hey, can I see the tickets?" Act all casual, saying that I haven't seen what they look like, then when I had all three, I'd rip them up or destroy them. And if they freaked out about it, I'd say, "well, considering you bought them with MY money, I own these tickets and can do with them however I want. You want to go to the concert? Buy the tickets with YOUR OWN money."

Stuff like this happens because parents don’t discipline their kids. It doesn’t even have to be physical discipline. Being grounded, having stuff being taken away, that would all work but we also have to remember that different punishments work for different kids.
An old friend of my lives with a friend of his and a spoiled dude who thinks that if you don't have a 15k holiday that it isn't a holiday, lol. His parents of that spoiled dude bought him a home that is worth 600-800k, I forgot the price, but you know what I mean, people get angry at such people, but not me, because such people will emotionally & mentally collapse when they don't get their 15k holiday, but that they need to work with no holiday at all.
