Autumn on the Mainline Part 2 - Fall 2004

In the Fall of 2004, I embarked on a quest to film CSX's former Conrail/Penn Central/New York Central line from Kirkville, NY (milepost 280) to Bayview Road in Hamburg, just southwest of Buffalo, a total of almost 160 miles.
In volume 2, we pick up at Macedon and head west to Wayneport, where we had a rather wet day, but saw Union Pacific SD90MAC's and a patched Southern Pacific C44-9. From there, we bypass Rochester and resume just east of Chili Junction, where we see a CSX westbound on their West Shore bypass with a long-in-the-tooth SD40-2 in the lead. On our way west, we also stop in Bergen, Batavia, Alden, Frontier Yard in Buffalo, Tifft Street (where we see Norfolk Southern switching cars) and Bayview Road, where we conclude our visit.
As in Vol.1, you will see a lot of different power, from CSX to unpainted ex-Conrail, lease power and more. Being video from well over 10 years ago, there were many more standard cab units around like SD40-2's, SD50's, Dash-8's, etc.
