The second winningest female is Angelle Sampey, the 3 time Pro Stock Motorcycle World Champion, who also has over 40 National Event wins. At just over 50 years old Angelle, left 2 wheels for 4, racing an A/Fuel dragster (same kinda car Tony Stewart raced before taking over Leah's car) She's winning races there and will move up to Top Fuel next year. Or at least that's the plan. Angelle has already gone 280 mph. There are dozens of women with World Championships and far more wins than Danica, who should have stayed in IndyCar. She was good at that.

As an IndyCar fan, I think it’s fantastic that she’s leaving the dark said and coming over to real competitive racing. With the new FOX contract for IndyCar and the NXT series, the doors are wide open for sponsorship and national exposure. I can see her working her way up to the IndyCar Series within a couple years.

I’ve given this advice before. I am a massive hd fan! I’ve followed her career her entire life. Girl from a driver who was winning the world until a bad accident took it all away. No matter what driving sport you do. The guys who almost always win have the dial on 11 and a win or die attitude. Yes it takes talent too but you learn to combine drive with talent. I wanted to win more than I wanted to inhale air!!! Honestly I was so close to the edge that i would not breathe. But then it all flipped to where I was so calm and damn confident like put me in any car and I’ll win. And I did! I never was happy to even finish second. I didn’t walk away thinking oh we did great today. I may have said it. But in my heart and mind I was sooooo upset if I didn’t win! That’s what me and very dominant driver from the 90s into 2000. I refused to loose. Be a killer girl!!!! Leave those guys in the mirror!!!!

I was a huge race fan when I was younger.. Took a break with life and started watching when Hailie went to trucks because I watched her dad back in the day. She has skills and rooted for her, but was shocked at the attitude of NASCAR towards her and other drivers as ratings continued to spiral downward. To tell you the truth I haven't watched any type of NASCAR race or gone on the NASCAR app since Hailie left. Hopefully, IndyNXT understands her following and will use her star power and learn from NASCAR's failure. Wish her the best! Nice interview.
It’s all her! She said when she was running the west series that she was not going to rush her career. She spent one season in ARCA & was shot to trucks then NXS! She RUSHED herself because of sponsorship!
I truly do root for her. Out of all the deegans. The pressure on this young lady to do something is probably immense. And she handles it with stride. She can’t help it she’s from Motorsport royalty basically. I would love to see her do well. I hope she tastes success

The Freedom 100 had tremendous racing. But alas they don't do that race anymore. Indy Lights owners complained they tore up too much equipment on the big ovals.
@@johnthefalcon2903 And along with the owners dealing with crash damage, Roger Penske was concerned about the optics of a terrible crash with debris into the stands ... and that occurring before the premier event that weekend. Given how incredibly close the Freedom 100 was over its years, the odds of a spectacular looking crash was elevated along with the odds of a 1955 Le Mans car into the stands or pit road. The risk was decreed to be too high.

She had a good ride in Trucks, Xfinity was a bad move. She really wasn't competitive in the slightest in either though. Indy is completely diff so who knows. I hope she kicks some ass. An American woman kickin ass on the World stage would be cool.
Her drive, determination and tenacity has to be admired. Add an equally driven and loving partner into the mix, We got a future open wheel star in the making.

I been a NASCAR fan for over 30 years. Hailie got my interested in watching how she makes out, I hoped for the best for her. I got into watching all the Deegan content for sometime now. I have enjoyed it all very much.

@@oleboy4332 They show each other respect because they’ve all been accomplished drivers in their respective series. It’s a series that is basically one in which all the cars are identical and set up by one crew of guys. It’s an Exhibition series owned by one guy!
@@davehenson6829 You might want to ask Tony Stewart about Paul Tracy and Austin Dillon. Tracy tore up so much stuff he almost bankrupted the series and Tony ran him off. Dillon managed to wreck every other car in a dirt race BUT Tony! Destroyed them! Once everyone got in backup cars Hailee wore Tony out for the entire race. She was on him like white on rice! He got out of the ranting about how good Hailee is on dirt!
Got to find a talented female and a sponsor with deep pockets willing to let a driver develop. She needed to be a truck winner before ever sitting in an Xfinity car.
In order for NASCAR to accept female drivers is that they ( female drivers) must come in as a group of 5 or at the same level and time. All at once. Instead of one or two at a time. I know that there's more than just one or two in NASCAR. There just needs to be a " group" at the same level to be able to push the boundaries of the good ole boys. And NASCAR needs to get aggressive on penalties for aggressive, and deliberate drivers. Danica got beat up pretty much every race. Hallie has also. And don't come at me with if you can't handle it get out. Other male drivers are not getting beat up like these female drivers. NASCAR is on its way out. They are in big trouble. No body is in the stands anymore. Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA . She is single handedly changing the WNBA. DANICA, HALIE and some others can do that for NASCAR. IF THEY CAN EXCEPT IT.
I only watched the Truck and Xfinity races to see how Deegan did so they aren't wrong about her bringing eyes to the sport. I still watch a little bit but nowhere near as much. Also they were spot on about her not having a chance to test or qualify in the Truck Series..Yes she got to do more in the Xfinity car but you can't expect someone to be great in one season. Look at Justin Allgaier. It took him nearly 5 years to win in ARCA, he only ran 8 races in Truck with no wins, and it even took him a couple of years to win in Xfinity and he hasn't been able to win in 82 total Cup races. You can't expect someone to win in a truck they never practice with on tracks they have never ran and you can't expect them all to just start having results their first year in the Xfinity series either. Hopefully she will find success in Indy because I have seen her show talent too many times to say she can't drive.
Absolutely loved this convo Kenny! I’m really rooting Hailie on. Who knows what she could bring to IndyCar, and being a IndyCar fanatic, you’re right the series does need help. The big issue with IndyCar is not Jay Frye, and not always Roger Penske. Look up the name Mark Miles when you get a chance
totally get your analysis of IndyCar. Not always so sure that Mark Miles is to blame but his optics are terrible and he certainly does not connect with the typical IndyCar fan. He might be the messenger that gets killed. A lot. And, for that reason, we need someone else in that position. Doug Boles would be awesome ... but, why would we want a great guy like Boles be placed into that horrible spokesperson spot that has to deliver such horrible messages. All. The. Time. ??? So, yah, Miles needs a new approach but he might be working with a bad situation to begin with. He doesn't make the decisions. And, he didn't make the mess that we have. He just doesn't have the skill set to sell us on what the reality is. And, to your point, maybe that means he shouldn't be there.

Hailie also mentioned she used to use the Ford Performance professional sim-is Ford Performance still supporting her, or has that contract ended? And does Toney Driver Development have something similar, like a sim or dedicated sim software, or do they focus exclusively on live track development? Also, I'd love to know more about Chase-will he be trying Indy anytime soon? Wishing Hailie, Chase, and Rambo the best of luck on their upcoming adventure. We'll be cheering them all on!

I knew it wasn’t Hailie’s fault when they replaced her with Joey Logano for a race and he struggled with the car. Yeah he had a decent finish, but I count that towards him being a veteran NASCAR driver. He even struggled with the team during pit stops. That whole team needs to be revamped.

Is JEGS the same JEGS that was involved with Don Gregory back in the 60s and 70s in the late model circuit? I remember him running a car at Heidelberg, Sharon, and all the other big races for the late models back then.

Great Interview! There are 1000's of drivers and only one Kyle Larson. I been tracking my Corvettes and have two sims. Racing is fun, challenging, rewarding and disappointing! People need to learn "Never tell a Driver their no good" I am glad the Herminator recognized that the NASCAR drivers are chuvanists.

Thanks Kenny for the interview and the support you’ve shown her. I was a fan of her father and love how he raised his kids. I was a fan of Shirley Muldowney when she was racing many years ago. She is the only reason I watched NASCAR and will be the only reason I’ll watch Indy car. Good luck Hailie
The Indy lights series used to always race at Carb day before the Indy 500. Hope she gets a chance to do that in 2025
Freedom 100 was so awesome.
They stopped doing that years ago
The Freedom 100 had tremendous racing. But alas they don't do that race anymore. Indy Lights owners complained they tore up too much equipment on the big ovals.
@@johnthefalcon2903 And along with the owners dealing with crash damage, Roger Penske was concerned about the optics of a terrible crash with debris into the stands ... and that occurring before the premier event that weekend. Given how incredibly close the Freedom 100 was over its years, the odds of a spectacular looking crash was elevated along with the odds of a 1955 Le Mans car into the stands or pit road. The risk was decreed to be too high.

She had a good ride in Trucks, Xfinity was a bad move. She really wasn't competitive in the slightest in either though. Indy is completely diff so who knows. I hope she kicks some ass. An American woman kickin ass on the World stage would be cool.

I been a NASCAR fan for over 30 years. Hailie got my interested in watching how she makes out, I hoped for the best for her.
I got into watching all the Deegan content for sometime now. I have enjoyed it all very much.

@@oleboy4332 They show each other respect because they’ve all been accomplished drivers in their respective series. It’s a series that is basically one in which all the cars are identical and set up by one crew of guys. It’s an Exhibition series owned by one guy!
So basically all she needs to run halfway decent is to only have a handful of cars on the track?
Still takes a ton of talent to run with those stars.

@@davehenson6829 You might want to ask Tony Stewart about Paul Tracy and Austin Dillon. Tracy tore up so much stuff he almost bankrupted the series and Tony ran him off. Dillon managed to wreck every other car in a dirt race BUT Tony! Destroyed them! Once everyone got in backup cars Hailee wore Tony out for the entire race. She was on him like white on rice! He got out of the ranting about how good Hailee is on dirt!

Got to find a talented female and a sponsor with deep pockets willing to let a driver develop. She needed to be a truck winner before ever sitting in an Xfinity car.

In order for NASCAR to accept female drivers is that they ( female drivers) must come in as a group of 5 or at the same level and time. All at once. Instead of one or two at a time. I know that there's more than just one or two in NASCAR. There just needs to be a " group" at the same level to be able to push the boundaries of the good ole boys. And NASCAR needs to get aggressive on penalties for aggressive, and deliberate drivers. Danica got beat up pretty much every race. Hallie has also. And don't come at me with if you can't handle it get out. Other male drivers are not getting beat up like these female drivers. NASCAR is on its way out. They are in big trouble. No body is in the stands anymore. Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA . She is single handedly changing the WNBA. DANICA, HALIE and some others can do that for NASCAR. IF THEY CAN EXCEPT IT.

I only watched the Truck and Xfinity races to see how Deegan did so they aren't wrong about her bringing eyes to the sport. I still watch a little bit but nowhere near as much. Also they were spot on about her not having a chance to test or qualify in the Truck Series..Yes she got to do more in the Xfinity car but you can't expect someone to be great in one season. Look at Justin Allgaier. It took him nearly 5 years to win in ARCA, he only ran 8 races in Truck with no wins, and it even took him a couple of years to win in Xfinity and he hasn't been able to win in 82 total Cup races. You can't expect someone to win in a truck they never practice with on tracks they have never ran and you can't expect them all to just start having results their first year in the Xfinity series either. Hopefully she will find success in Indy because I have seen her show talent too many times to say she can't drive.

Absolutely loved this convo Kenny! I’m really rooting Hailie on. Who knows what she could bring to IndyCar, and being a IndyCar fanatic, you’re right the series does need help. The big issue with IndyCar is not Jay Frye, and not always Roger Penske. Look up the name Mark Miles when you get a chance
totally get your analysis of IndyCar. Not always so sure that Mark Miles is to blame but his optics are terrible and he certainly does not connect with the typical IndyCar fan. He might be the messenger that gets killed. A lot. And, for that reason, we need someone else in that position. Doug Boles would be awesome ... but, why would we want a great guy like Boles be placed into that horrible spokesperson spot that has to deliver such horrible messages. All. The. Time. ??? So, yah, Miles needs a new approach but he might be working with a bad situation to begin with. He doesn't make the decisions. And, he didn't make the mess that we have. He just doesn't have the skill set to sell us on what the reality is. And, to your point, maybe that means he shouldn't be there.

Good questions Kenny like your show. Hailie's not stupid she knows how to get what she wants, she wants to learn she needs people that are willing to help her learn because she does help them also and like she said she she does all this on her own she doesn't have any help from her family she does this on her own the name may help you but you still have to go out there and bust your ass and she does that she's very talented race car driver and she deserve some respect for the strong willing woman that she is.

For next time, I'm really curious how much her motion simulator rig and iRacing contribute to race or track prep. Hailie also mentioned she used to use the Ford Performance professional sim-is Ford Performance still supporting her, or has that contract ended? And does Toney Driver Development have something similar, like a sim or dedicated sim software, or do they focus exclusively on live track development? Also, I'd love to know more about Chase-will he be trying Indy anytime soon?

I knew it wasn’t Hailie’s fault when they replaced her with Joey Logano for a race and he struggled with the car. Yeah he had a decent finish, but I count that towards him being a veteran NASCAR driver. He even struggled with the team during pit stops. That whole team needs to be revamped.
I'm an IndyCar fan and wish her well.

Kenny, great conversation her. I can’t help to think when she was talking about family how it brought me back and I have a question. Is JEGS the same JEGS that was involved with Don Gregory back in the 60s and 70s in the late model circuit? I remember him running a car at Heidelberg, Sharon, and all the other big races for the late models back then.

Great Interview! There are 1000's of drivers and only one Kyle Larson. I been tracking my Corvettes and have two sims. Racing is fun, challenging, rewarding and disappointing! People need to learn "Never tell a Driver their no good" I am glad the Herminator recognized that the NASCAR drivers are chuvanists.
Haley is such a a resilient individual. This was a great objective discussion/interview that gave the general public the information they wanted regarding Haley’s decision to leave NASCAR and partner with HMD. Kenny, you are a gentleman for sticking up for Haley with your support and presenting the not so positive inside scoop of NASCAR. NASCAR is not ready for a women to kick their butts 😂🤣
