I used to use the Skinceuticals Age + Blemish cleanser, it’s like £30 for 150ml’s and my skin was lovely from it! I then read a article about how cleansers just go down the drain and no point spending loads ££ on them, so 2 years ago I started using the Aldi Lacura Gel Cleanser (200ml £3.38) I add 15ml of 20% glycolic acid to the container and there is no difference! I ise it everyday my skin is always smooth, refined clean. I will never spend that amount on a cleanser again - before I go out I leave it on for 10minutes like a gel mask, and it give you the best glow and exfoliate! X
IDK, I tend to blow a lot on my cleansers- not because I believe they are massively better but because I dislike cleaning my face and luxury products make it feel less of an ordeal to get through! I go cheap on pretty much everything else- I will always cleanse but if I use the expensive stuff I actually want to cleanse rather than dreading it.
@@jillyfish72 if you are in the US, the Sunday Riley Lactic acid is 20%, there are ways to get it here but they're not cheap and the product is already quite expensive! I think Alpha A's Liquid Gold is quite high but not sure on the %, I'm sure someone else will know this though. TBH I get results from The Ordinary's Glycolic and I think that's 7%, the idea is to see results, not to cause second degree burns though 🤣 so try using a lower % and buffering less or cleaning deeper for more intensive results rather than notch up the acid %, spoken from experience, overly sensitized skin is no joke!

I remember Nutty bars, Cabana (like an amped up Bounty), Pez, Pacers (like a striped minty Opal Fruit), Dip Dab, Toffos and Frys (of Mint Cream fame) having a chocolate bar with different fruit flavour sections. Terry's also used to do Neopolitans and All Gold which always seemed slightly posh compared to Milk Tray. Pineapple and Cola cubes were also purchased in a paper bag from a large jar at the village shop. Spot the chocolate lover!

Hey Jo- I hope you washed your hands after using the tan luxe or you will have tanned palms in the morning. Awhile back, I was window shopping in Sephora and testing all kinds of lotions and potions. I came across a tester of Tan luxe (didn't know anything about the product at the time) applied a couple of pumps to may face and moved onto the next item. The following morning when I looked in the mirror I had quite the shock! I had a deep tan. All I can say is thank goodness I applied it all over my face! I also walked around for several days with brown palms! Thank goodness I had a couple of days off from work. I had a good chuckle at myself.
Sarsaparilla sweets! Rainbow dust and bonbons ! Oh and sherbet fountains are the ones with the stick of liquorice. We had a old paper shop at the end of the road that had all the jars behind the counter.

I am so late on this but speaking of old school sweets, growing up in LA in the 90's it was all about this candy called "Lucas" and it was sweet but also spicy! I think it had actual chilli in it. I'll never know what is actually in it but it makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
My 80s childhood was in the US, and i was always scrounging around for quarters to buy Nerds, Pop Rocks (yours was a diff name i think, but same idea -crackles and pops in your mouth), Whistle pops (lollipops that were also whistles!), and those candies made to look like cigarettes (!) lol. Loved the taste of those.

I am in Australia and we have an English sweet shop and it makes me happy and sad at the same time when I go in to there my favourites sweets are winter mixtures, when I was a kid I use to stop at the shop in the morning on the way to school and get them especially in the winter as I always felt like they warmed me up ha ha I have a jar of them in my cupboard now. I love watching your videos you always make my day a lot brighter and putting my make up on a lot harder because I can’t stop laughing 😂

Lovely - waste not want not! Also, Alex Steinherr does an amazing budget version of the clarins scrub, but in a stick form. It's fab, the salicylic acid busts through blackheads and the packaging is so neutral anyone can use it, looks great in the bathroom x
My favourite TH-cam vids= the Beauty Hags! Bit scared of Jo’s passion for blackheads 😂 Apart from pure moringa oil as my make up removing oil cleanse, the cleansers I use are Nadine’s recommendations: Your Good Skin cream cleanser and Cerave. Simple, affordable and brilliant.

Best thing I ever did was splurge on a dermapen facial, expensive but my red acne marks completely vanished around 3 months after the treatment

There would be a line of school children coming from the sweet shop opposite the school, which is now a house. The guy would have to count out 40 teddies because you had your 20p. The 80’s were fab for kids, through my rose tinted glasses.

I am in Australia and we have an English sweet shop and it makes me happy and sad at the same time when I go in to there my favourites sweets are winter mixtures, when I was a kid I use to stop at the shop in the morning on the way to school and get them especially in the winter as I always felt like they warmed me up ha ha I have a jar of them in my cupboard now. I love watching your videos you always make my day a lot brighter and putting my make up on a lot harder because I can’t stop laughing 😂

Pear drops ( used to make me cough! ) chocolate limes, sherbet lemons and can’t remember what they were called but they were tiny little sweets but you used to get loads of them for about 2.5p

Lovely - waste not want not! Also, Alex Steinherr does an amazing budget version of the clarins scrub, but in a stick form. It's fab, the salicylic acid busts through blackheads and the packaging is so neutral anyone can use it, looks great in the bathroom x
