As you’ve explained, For experiencing high tide again after 24 hrs that particular place have to move 50 mins ahead because the position of moon has changed. So my doubt is if moon is shifted ahead from that place then the current position of the moon should also face high tide, why we considering only that one particular place?
dear, only the region of earth either directly under moon or on opposite side of earth (in respect to side facing moon ) will have high tides. so only two locations for high tides (for simplicity of understanding). A point on earth will take 24hrs and 50 min to pass through both points. so we are considering the region below moon. if you still do not understand than watch the animation and during the animation try to spot the location having high tide.
