I think the writers did a fairly decent job in writing a story of interest but didn’t do a good job of keeping the integrity of the main characters. They added certain aspects to the show that needs to be developed next season and fix the love triangle because they kindve screwed it up. You never wanna make your lead actress or actors villains. But it did receive a lot of attention but sub oar to bad reviews because of the toxicity of the main characters. So hopefully they get better writers and spend more money on production because it’s just bland and boring. Jackie need acting coaches immediately because it was a struggle watching her as lead. Cole and Alex character and the mom carried the show. They really sold it but Jackie just seem like the prize that the guys were fighting over. I hope they dive into Jackie’s story more next season and fix the love triangle disaster. I think we will get a Jackie and Cole love interest but not an endgame in the series. Honestly I could never see them actually making this work due to how toxic they made it. The cheating trope killed it for me and many viewers alike. So maybe sell them being a love interest but realizing it would not work because of how they went about it. Her falling in the pits and regretting how she treated Alex is another direction they could take it but her and Cole being in a relationship and getting Alex approval just isn’t realistic. Them having a happily ever after is pure fantasies that would stop me from watching the show. I kinda think they will come around full circle back to Jackie and Alex later in seasons to come but first they have to fix Jackie because she is a mess and super toxic right now and very unlikable

Jackie’s mom probably knew Jackie’s uncle traveled too much for work to able to take care of Jackie and George and Katherine have jobs but spend more time at home.
