Thanks for all the good stuff. Think I take in more of what you are saying first time - less visual distractions/stimulation. Re: timer, I thought I’d cross that bridge later. Thanks for the timely video, as later is upon me. Anything that removes the repetitive tasks, or frees up time is a bonus.
Hey Donny, this is absolutely brilliant! Love this idea. I've watched all your videos. I also like the racks you use. They sure beat the one that rusted on me that I got from Johnny's years ago, seem much easier to setup or take apart, and also seem more sturdy.
Great information! Thank you for the detail. The specifics are important because they clarify your message. Please continue to provide this kind of clear and precise information. I greatly appreciate your mentoring program too!
Much love Jim, thanks so much for this feedback! Glad you are enjoying the videos as well as the Microgreens Mentors program. Keep up the good work brother!
Donny- I love watching all your videos. I dabbed in microgreens a couple years ago for my dieting purposes. That did t last long and recently found myself want to start up again. At this point I am about to start investing in more equipment so I can start my own business ASAP. I run my own company but in a different market altogether. So any and all of your information is tremendously helpful for me atm. Thanks my man for doing this!!! I would consider you my mentor. 🙏🙏
You’re an answered prayer 🙏🥰 You’re information is amazing and I love the focused form on one subject pertaining to beginners. I’m so excited I was looking for a home business for gardeners. That’s my passions you sparked my new business!! Praying God’s continued blessings! Can’t wait!’
Much love 🌱💚 It would be awesome to have you in the next One Tray Away Challenge!! If you want to check that out, go to OneTrayAway.com. Next grow-a-long starts March 1st - I hope to see you there and keep teaching you more!!!! 🌱💚
Hi Donny, yes this information is great! I'm just starting my microgreens company and have been using your videos to help me start with less kinks in the system. Thanks for making all of this useful content
Thank you for this content. Basics, setup, growing, packaging, all of that information has been done to death. Information on how to plan a successful business and allow scaling, that information is pretty much at a dearth. You are a treasure!
I like this form of content, it shows your journey and mistakes made before and not only the solutions which could help us prevent similar mistakes or help finding solutions easier.
I'm wanting to learn to grow greens for myself... for salad's, for juicing and blending. YOUR videos are top of the line, I love them. Thanks so much for all your hard work.
EXTREMELY HELPFUL INFORMATION...thank you so much for sharing and FOR KEEPING IT REAL. Truth and openness is what we all need to help each other. Thank you Donny!
Thank you so much ... I and my family (wife and four kids) will.be moving from Taiwan to Oklahoma this summer and want to (with my brother and his family) set up a profitable homestead.... And definitely want to have microgreens as a big part of my home delivery system. Very inspired by you my friend!
This is awesome, I have been waiting for the info on this soaking system ever since I watched your farm tour video about 6 months ago. Longer videos would be great. Thanks for the info. Have a Green Day!!
yes bro, this info is very helpfull, because its detailed and you are smart man who explains things simply. English is not my first language. thank you for this content, please keep educating us.
Your long-form videos are great. I appreciate your main concise content, however these longer videos give more insight into the way you think. That kind of insight might even be more valuable than the technical details you offer.
I love this idea Donny. longer format is good :) I am overwhelmed and not making a profit yet but anything that I can do to make things easier is GREATLY appreciated!
Awesome video. I think consumer grade automation is the next industrial revolution. The technology is so cheap and accessible now. I built a home incubator that hatches 400 eggs with just a humidity controller, a temperature controller and a few fans.
crazy helpful information DG. Love the way you have this set up in your op. Love the new format for the videos as well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Muy bueno el sistema!! Se me ocurre que si los baldes tienen una descarga con cañerias podrías poner otro dispositivo igual para que se escurra el agua también en forma automática
Hey Donny, enjoying the videos. You have a lot of great information. Definitely prefer videos that show you working with your greens and running through tasks. Haven't seen every video yet, but would love to see one showing your harvest process from cutting through packaging/stickering/preparing customer orders.
Hi Donny. Yes, love the video. Yes, like the new "teaching style" and more information. If anything, maybe shorten the length with a few minutes, yet keep the same amount of information. And I was thinking, when you find a product like Eve. why not contact the manufactor/supplier to get a better price/ free product, based on the fact that many of us will by that now. If they go for that, you will get a code (hopefylly with a dicount for us as well) but mainly to track how many buys that based on your videoes. And the FB group have helped me so much, its unbeleavable! Reccomend it strongly.
Great ideas and great work that you do. I have a question. It ok that I fill up the bucket with water and put a weight on the bag filled with seeds, is a right way of doing it
been toying around with the idea of growing microgreens for profit. just found your channel. i like you. i was also thinking about how i could fabricate some hardware to raise my bed but now i know that bed risers exist so thanks and thanks again lmao!
I like it. I would like to see a video on seed storage and handling. I add four cups of solution to my 1020 flats for sunflowers then I spray them with hydrogen peroxide (diluted). My germination is very even with no soaking.
i just got into micros but i have decades of hydro experience. a mixing tank for the water even if no nutrients are added aerates the water and will boost the O2 levels to the roots....limiting any chance of pythium (i have battled it to the death with bleach in the past on higher value crops.) and increasing overall vitality. i believe they even make inline aerators for hoses that may do a similar thing. but mixing tanks (a 55 gallon barrel with a pump in it} are great for adding sea kelp or other pita things to mix like beneficial bacterias or even peroxide depending on your methods.
I try to keep processes slightly more "off-grid" than online. That device is great otherwise. I'm going to try one of those old-fashioned hose timers like we used for flowerbeds, etc. in the old days 😊 Might have to go to a junkyard or old junk shop.
Cool idea. Currently use a few of these for baby monitoring and home security (works w/ Amazon's Alexa): Blink Mini www.amazon.com/Blink-Mini-plug-security-detection/dp/B07X6C9RMF/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=blink+camera&qid=1621459996&sr=8-2
I didn't understand your explanation of soaking, which is the absolute only time I did not understand something you explained. In another life, you could have been a very great teacher. What is unsoak?
hahaha its a word i basically made up haha. i think i probably am a great teacher if you understood everything else. unsoaking basically means draining
Ty for the great content! Enjoyed the backstory. Question. Awhile back i thought I remember a video, a device on a timer that lowered your bucket, the soaked microgreens in a bag were tied to a string. The device lowered, the bag remained suspended, removing them from the water. Do you remember this or this video? Ty
Hi Donny, super useful content as always, thank you so much. Quick question - can the different seeds all be soaked in 1 bucket (in their separate bags) or is it best not to, to avoid cross-contamination?
I’m looking to get started in farming microgreens. For me, it’s going to start with the water filtration system. Can you tell me the name of the water filtering system that you’re using? Thanks for everything you do for microgreens farmers!
No problem, thanks for your kind words! I use the pHountain home water filtration system. Its overkill and not necessary for a great farm. It's a local company.
Great information. Does the water going into the buckets move the Sunflower seeds in the mesh bags and make them float or does the brick still work holding them down? Thanks Donny.
Omgg this is perfect! I am looking into solutions for those with android but this helps tremendously! Question: have you found a system to automate watering microgreens with a soil based medium?
Try growing your microgreens on reusable capillary mats on mesh platforms elevated 2 inches above no holes 1020 trays (Quad trays rule and last forever). NEVER have to worry about watering again. Just keep water or nutrient solution (I add nutrients halfway through grow cycle) 1/2 inch to 1 inch deep (or deeper, go away for the weekend) and stand back. The fuzziness of the roots growing through the mats towards the liquid below will bring tears to your eyes. No soil or coir (I love coir for everything else) to deal with when harvesting. When mg’s are ready, lay mats on a flat surface and cut as closely as you want, maxing out weight per tray.
You could probably put one bucket higher than the other ones for your sunflowers and cut a hole and put that same system on the bucket and use it as a drain. That way you can have it automatically drain the bucket after the 4 hours of soaking
Are you liking this new style of video for TH-cam? If you are liking it better, I'll keep making them more like this!
Please make more ♥️ I have a question. My cocopeat starts to rise as the seeds grow. Any solution?
Thanks for all the good stuff. Think I take in more of what you are saying first time - less visual distractions/stimulation.

Incredibly helpful, you should change your name to "The Don of Greens" because you are a king!
I love your videos Donny. I owe anything I know about my Microgreens business to you. Please continue to make these longer in-depth videos. Thanks
Much love, thanks for this comment. Finally back on TH-cam! Did you see?! New vieo posted today FINALLY: th-cam.com/video/FKYaEMKOQjs/w-d-xo.html

Donny, for an extra bit of relief position a camera by your sink so that you won't have to worry about overflow or flooding.

Thank you, It was helpful!
bed risers are brilliant.
haha thank you 🙏
Is the eve aqua only for apple or can it be used for Android? Good format...
Yeah. Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot!
I was thinking if you moved your timer on to the manifold and add a 2nd or 3rd timer you could have multiple soaks come off at the same time.
Hi Donny, super useful content as always, thank you so much. Quick question - can the different seeds all be soaked in 1 bucket (in their separate bags) or is it best not to, to avoid cross-contamination?
THank you!! Yes, try to not to that for that exact reason - cross contamination. You got it Shelley!!

You can use a flood and drain system
Very cool, have any content on this?
...and yes, longer format is great too. 15minute or 30minute length is fine, just keep your format of real discussion on facts and functions .
Love it! Thank you!
No problem, thanks for your comment!
Donnie it is very good useful
Awesome glad to hear it
Well over $100 on Amazon now but much cheaper watering timers are available all over. I see some for less than $40.
Donny, how do you know how much to charge for selling greens? How big are the packages?
Can this attach directly to the sink spout
You could probably put one bucket higher than the other ones for your sunflowers and cut a hole and put that same system on the bucket and use it as a drain. That way you can have it automatically drain the bucket after the 4 hours of soaking
interesting!!
