I suspect a larger interview on he cutting room floor,
I think he chose right,he can give back later in his playing life by coaching and giving island boys an opportunity bringing them to Europe.
That being said he could drive change from within and refusing to play at twickenham vs Sa and explaining why to the media at every interview. unlike some of the other players who dont comprehend that they cant just do want to do what they want, Manu sounds like he totally understood his decisions and the consequences vs benefits.

Seki n great interview....Bless all our Polynesian rugby players, FAMILY comes first and Manu explains it very truthfully and strongly straight to the point of the matter when players have to choose between playing for their Country of Origin (Samoa..Tonga..Fiji etc) or better $$$ for FAMILY income and adopted Country e.g ( N.Z ..England, Australia, France etc). Beautifully explaind and great series 👍👍👍

Great to hear an honest account from Manu he is one of the best to play the game. Thanks Dan your doing a great job with PRPW God bless your work. May I ask would it be an idea to give pacific players training in making smart investments with there money in the Island? Like start a business where they could employ there Family or invest in agricultural machinery, to make things more sustainable. Obviously I have no Idea how life is for Islander, I don't want to come a across as a smart ass, I just was wondering.

It’s not so bad anymore with the new prime minister. But our previous prime minister kept taking money from the Samoan rugby union. And boys that played overseas and made the Samoan team, had to pay for their own flights for training camps. In the 2011 World Cup so much money was donated to the team from Samoans living abroad for support. And it somehow all went missing 🤦🏽 John Campbell a journalist from New Zealand covered the story.
